Down to Earth

Back at the hospital, Grainger's wound had been taken care off and he fled the office.

"Malice. Mackenzie. They are here." he whispered to himself. He could feel his heart rate speeding up as there presence grew nearer and nearer. He searched quickly for a place to hide as Malice and Mackenzie were coming down the hall. Grainger looked around and found a door to his left. He scampered over to the door and jiggled the door knob. It was unlocked. He crept inside, quietly. Malice and Mackenzie passed right by the door without thinking anything of it.  He sighed. He cracked open the door just enough to barely see outside. He turned his head to make sure they were gone. He opened the door the rest of the way and continued down the hall. To his surprise, there was a guard on duty outside the hall way Sofia was on.

"Can I help you?" the guard boomed.

"Uhhh... I am going to visit my aunt." Grainger stuttered.

The guard raised an eyebrow, and continued with, "Who is your aunt?"

It was in this moment Grainger realized he messed up. He brought his hands to his face.

"Sofia..." he replied. The guard moved out of the way. Grainger lifted his head, shocked to see that it had worked. With a faint smile, he continued down the hall, checking the name plate of every door until he found one that said Turner. Grainger stopped, frowning at the plate.  Sofia?  He thought. He looked through the door in horror. It was Anna. However, she wasn't alive. He attempted to open the door but it was locked. He looked around to make sure no one was watching him and then tried to use his powers to open the door.  A cold breeze hit the back of his neck. Grainger jumped, turning to see a masked figure wearing all black.

"What are you doing outside Anna Turner's door?" the voice questioned from under the black mask. Grainger opened his mouth to speak but way cut off by the figure.

"I know who you are, Grainger Cross.  My only question for you is how Anna died. She as definitely killed by someone who could use dark and light powers. Do you know anyone with such abilities?" the figure continued.

"Who are you?" Grainger asked, turning to face the figure.

"Let's just say that I am someone who can end you if I so please. I strongly suggest you cough up a name before you are in their next to her." the figure threatened. Grainger shook his head and threw back the hood of his cloak.

"Do you not know who I am?" Grainger dared.

"I know that you know who killed her, Grainger." the figure sneered.

Grainger let out a sigh, things were going to get messy.

Grainger raised his hand to use his powers but the figure raised their hand too. Grainger gasped for air and wrapped his hands around his throat. The figure was choking him without even touching him.

"The name Grainger, who killed her?" the figure reminded Grainger in a powerful voice.

Grainger shook his head, he couldn't breath. He was never going to give up his own name.

"Now you know what it felt like when you choked out Sofia." the figure whispered. They dropped their hand and walked away down the hall. Grainger fell to his knees, gasping for air. He watched as the masked figure's cape flowed behind them and they made the turn at the end of the hall. Grainger was stuck in a conundrum.  He didn't how the figure got his name, found out about his powers, or found out that he killed Sofia. His mind raced. Was it Luka? Luka was there when he had killed Sofia so maybe he put himself in some shiny black armor and came to scare him.  Or maybe it was Malice. She was also there when he killed Anna. He continued to think, maybe it was Mackenzie, or Reagan. It could have been any of them. Grainger got to his feet and pulled the cloak back to a comfortable position and grabbed at the hood so it would once more cover his blackened eyes. He was defeated and his facial expression read this to whoever looked at him. His mission didn't matter anymore. Now he had a new enemy that needed to be taken care of. The person in the black armor. The cloak flapped as Grainger made his way back down the hall, past the guard, and outside to the hanger where all the ships were parked.

Meanwhile, Luka and Reagan had successfully crossed the road with Ben.

"That was a close one." Luka muttered.

 Reagan continued to walk until she reached a building that stated "Star City Apartments".

"Isn't this where the Human lives?" Reagan asked.

"One of the many places." Luka answered, coming to join her below the giant sign. Luka opened the door for Reagan as they went inside. A metallic door slip open revealing a small room with  a 'ding'.  A group of people in front of them gathered in the tiny space. Reagan looked at Luka and then went to join them. They stepped inside and the metallic doors close. All of the sudden, Reagan got the feeling that she was moving up. It was  a weird sensation. Then there was a jerk and the metallic doors opened again to  a different room than before. Wide windows where placed directly outside the room with the metallic doors. The group of people moved quickly to exit the room so Reagan and Luka followed. Reagan rushed to the window and looked out at the city.

"We aren't on the ground level anymore. Do you think that thing was an elevator like the ones we have back home?" she asked.

"Without a doubt." Luka responded. All of the sudden, someone tapped Reagan on the shoulder. She turned ready to fight.

"Hello." said a women.

"Hello?" Reagan replied.

"I didn't mean to startle you but I didn't recognize you and your husband. I could tell from the way you were on the elevator that you weren't from around here." the women continued.

"Luka isn't my husband, he is my older brother." Reagan corrected.

"Oh, I'm sorry I just... assumed because of the baby. How old is he?" the women answered.

"Ben was just born yesterday but it's alright. We just moved here from a place called.... uh...." Reagan paused looking at Luka. He stood there for a second and then finished her statement saying, "Albea Point. We just moved here from Albea Point."

The women nodded and asked, "As in the planet?"

"Planet?" Luka replied nervously. How had she known? Why did I say Albea Point?! I could've said anything else but of course this lady knows!  Luka thought.

"Legend has it that there are gods that live in a galaxy called Ragnarok. Albea Point is the planet the Malice the Malevolent and her evil twins Grainger and Reagan live on. They say that these gods and goddesses have superpowers and always have twins." the women explained.

"No way... that's really cool." Reagan cheered. Ben yawned and all of the sudden, the vase on the table next to them leapt into the air. Reagan casually reached out her hand and used her powers to put the vase down before anyone noticed.

"Reagan? It is really you! Twin sister of Grainger." the women stated. Reagan's eyes widened.

"Uhh... my name is..... Regina and who is Grainger?" Reagan lied.

"Nonsense, I saw the child use his powers to lift the vase and then you set it back down. Not to mention I can tell your lying, your eyes widened and your face turned red. They way you acted on the elevator was proof enough that you weren't from here. What have you come to Earth for?" the women argued.

"Fine. I am Reagan Cross, twin sister of Grainger Cross. Everything is true expect Malice, my mother, has come back from the darkness into the light and I have always been on the light side. However, Grainger got married to girl with powers named Sofia. He killed her and ran off into space. He didn't know that the twins are alive and we need to separate them so that Grainger can't harness their combine powers. We need to leave Ben here but we need someone to give him to that will take care of him." Reagan confessed.
