Grainger's chest heaved.
"I hate this place! I hate it with all my heart! Have you know heart, Reagan! This is the last place in the universe I would go!" Grainger shouted, his voice bouncing off the shallow walls.
"What are you talking about?" Reagan snarled.
Grainger paused, he felt the anger boiling- rising to the surface. He fought to push his emotions back into the bottle but the memories surfaced.
"On my sixth birthday, my mother promised me the galaxy. She brought me to this frozen piece of junk with lies. She said not to move because she would be right back, she only had some business to take care of. I waited by the mountains for days, until I collapsed. I was rescued by a kind man and raised on this frozen wasteland. It was like living in the underworld. I lived here for ten years, ten years, until I found out that Malice had blown up Tempolia and was plotting to take over the galaxy. Feeling crushed, I fled with my grandfather and became the Chosen One for the Knights of Ragnarok. That is why I hate and despise this place so much!" Grainger explained.
Reagan nodded, seemingly sympathetic.
"Do you at least like the snow?" she asked.
"No I don't like snow! It's cold and wet and makes me shiver. Plus it reminds me of here." Grainger confessed. He shuttered at the usage of these words. Reagan sighed, sitting down on the bed. Grainger sighed as well and joined her.
"I'm sorry, Grainy." Reagan whispered, she gave Grainger a subtle hug, not knowing how he would react.
"Did you just call me Grainy?" Grainger asked, hugging back.
"Yep," Reagan remarked. Grainger laughed for the first time in a while.
"Then I get to call you Rey." Grainger stated.
"Fine, Grainy." Reagan taunted sarcastically.
Reagan looked up into Grainger's blue eyes and he looked down at her. Both smiled and burst into laughter.
"Where was all this fun when we where kids?" Grainger asked.
"Technically we are still kids... until we are twenty." Reagan told.
"Eh, right." Grainger replied. He gazed at Reagan and their eyes met. They locked eyes for what seemed like forever until and loud crack outside startled them.
"What was that?" Reagan gasped. Both moved swiftly from the bed to the window, yanking open the curtains. To their dismay, it was Valarina. Rising high above the ground. She wasn't alone, however, she had recruited an army. The rebel Accords to be precise.
"Your cousin... how did she find us?" Reagan gasped.
"Our cousin and like I have any idea!" Grainger snapped.
Grainger and Reagan looked at each other in fear. They locked eyes once more but this time, Grainger could tell what Reagan was thinking. She was going to ppush Grainger out of the way and take care of Reagan herself. She was going to fly solo.
"No! Don't go alone!" Grainger shouted, grabbing hold of Reagan's hand.
"It's not like you can do anything about it! I am the more powerful of us both! Beside, I work alone." Reagan argued.
"You might be more powerful that me but we will be more powerful that just you if we work together. Besides, I am your brother, I will do what I have to if it means that I can protect you." Grainger reminded Reagan.
