The memories start to flash, causing Sky to shake. The hallway starts to empty, the girls hanging around him left for the day, leaving the two of them. Sky is scared, the boy who had raped her decided to come after her and torment her. Everything was telling her to run and get away. Fear rooted her body to the spot, unable to move as James advanced, until he was practically on top of her.
"Get away from me James," she says trying to push the large football player off of her.
Max comes rushing to her,"Are you okay Sky?"
"Oh look Mr. Fag to the rescue, your 'girlfriend' screams like a wanton whore," James says, his blue eyes like ice.
"Shut up James," retaliates Max.
"Remember who's father that child is homo. If you or your precious slut die, I could always have it," James says.
"I would never let you have my baby, over my dead body," Sky says.
"I'm legal, I could take that thing away from you at anytime, consider it," James says with a smirk.
James leans into Sky enjoying the look of terror on Sky’s face before coming in close to her,”I could always buy it from you, then you would have all the money in the world,” he whispers, then he walks away, leaving the two of them.
Sky collapses onto Max, sobs racking her body."He was so close, I could smell his scent. H-he s-said that he w-would b-buy the baby,” Sky stutters out.
Max carefully lifts her up, the Asian boy is strong from years of martial arts. "I'll tell the Dean we're leaving, and why. When we get home, we can talk about this, you're definitely not safe here,” Max says.
Sky shakes her head,"Don't tell him," she resists, trying to get out of his arms.
Max holds tightly onto her,"I need to, you need to be able to leave classes if you feel unwell."
"Fine, you just can't tell them about James, it's my own problem," Sky says.
Max opens his mouth to disagree, but is cut off by Sky. "I'll tell Jayden you have a crush on him," she says, half-heartedly threatening him.
Max's eyes widen,"I probably ruined all choices by dating you, he probably thinks I'm straight. And I'm pretty sure that he's not gay."
"It's my fault, I suggested that we date," Sky cries more,"It's my fault."
Max just pats her back,"I'm sorry, I forgot that you were more sensitive when your pregnant, let's get out of here."
They walk to the Dean's office together, Sky had finally regained enough strength to walk. They tentatively knock on the door, inside it holds a stern man. "Come in," says a deep male voice.
The strong smell of hand sanitizer lingers in the office's air."Max Sato and Sky Carter, what do I owe this pleasure?" asks the Dean, his voice was nasally and congested.
"I'm pregnant," said Sky timidly, she was afraid of what he was going to say.
The Dean was a strict man, he had very traditional views that coincided with many of the younger teacher’s. Although the Dean was strongly backed by all the parents, they wanted their children to remain “pure”.
"Why would you bring it to me?" asks the Dean.
"I wanted to know if I could-" Sky stopped unsure what to say.
"She wanted to know if she could get support and if she needed medical help that it would be available. We can get a medical note, the nurse already said that she was weak," continues Max, patting his friend’s hand comfortingly.
Sky grabs Max's hand for support, the Dean scoffs at it. "Did you impregnate her Mr. Sato? If you did, you know the consequences or a drunken decision," says the dean.
Sky suddenly is furious that he could even think that Max could do something so horrible, his father was a terrible drunkard and abused his mother all the time in front of Max. The fact that Max could smile and act so happy after everything that he had experienced, amazes Sky.
"He would never do that, and for your information I can have sex now that I am 16 and Max is turning 17," says Sky with disgust.
"Miss Carter, I guess you need to attending such, distasteful social gatherings. It could harm your school work," says the Dean distaste evident in his voice.
"I was raped,” says Sky.
"You are to blame, especially if you were under the influence of alcohol and wearing inappropriate clothing,” says the dean.
Sky's eyes widen, she suddenly feels constrained and very uncomfortable, it is if the walls were closing in on her. Max notices her discomfort and gives her a comforting pat.
“I expect you to maintain your good grades and discipline,” says the Dean.
“Miss Carter could you step outside I would like to have a talk with Mr. Sato,” says the Dean, motioning for her to leave.
She steps outside, her heart racing, the encounter caused her to feel slightly nauseous and lightheaded. Especially without the comforting presence of her best friend, everything seemed to be too hot and too intense as soon as Max was gone. The tree she needed to lean on at times such as these, wasn't there. Suddenly Leigh appears from around the corner.
Leigh Jeffers has long dark auburn hair, and brown eyes. She was the best athlete in the school, she had even beat James when she was still active as an athlete, now she is working as a fashion designer. Her parents have helped her to start a little business of her own. They were also extremely rich. She also happens to be the girl that Sky has a crush on.
Sky subconsciously tucks her hair behind her ear as Leigh walks up. “Hey Sky, I heard what James did, he’s being a jerk,” apologizes Leigh.
“No, it’s okay,” said Sky waving her hands.
“Come have lunch with me at 5 on Sunday at Sweets and Treats Cafe, we should hang out some time,” says Leigh.
Sky nods happily that she asked her to go out,”Okay.”
Max walks out and raises his eyebrow at the two, he knew that Sky had a hardcore crush on Leigh. But some part of him didn’t trust the girl, he put it off as being too overprotective. The encounter he had with the Dean, put him off slightly. He waves casually at the two, Leigh waves back.
“Hi Max, I’ll leave you two, I have to talk to the Dean,” says Leigh happily.
Max watches in amusement as Sky watches Leigh walks into the Dean’s room. He lightly taps her shoulder, motioning for the door. They both walk out, Max trying to have a conversation with a star struck Sky. They both stepped into Max’s car, driving to his house.
