Tomorrow she would have an appointment with a councilor. Sky was ready to get rid of all the things holding her back from focusing completely on her pregnancy and her unborn baby.
Sky sits in the clinic again, going to talk with the councilor. She was dropped of by Max, who had a tournament. Logan was going to pick her up.
"Miss Carter?" says a female voice.
Sky stands up and walks through the door, her body was trembling. She was slightly nervous about what was about to happen. The lady leads her into a room, there is an old beat-up couch and a couple of beat-up chairs.
"Please sit down," says the lady, "I'll bring the person in."
A kind looking middle-aged women walks in with a clipboard, "Hello Miss Carter," she says holding out her hand to shake.
Sky accepts the hand, shaking it firmly. The lady sits across from Sky, she offers her some water and tissues, which Sky gladly accepts.
"My name is Katherine, can I call you Sky?" asks Katherine.
"Yes," says Sky nervously.
"So can you tell me what happened?" says Katherine.
"He was very drunk and," Sky stops and takes a deep breath. As she explains what happened tears start to fall. But it felt good in a way, to tell someone everything. To be able to just have someone listen felt good.
Katherine sat quietly the whole time, listening to her allowing her to speak and cry when she needed to. "Did you ever think of reporting the rape?" asks Katherine.
"No, he'll try to take away my family's money. My mother and I are healing right now, but we don't have enough money to survive. And my brother is going off to college," says Sky.
"We have some options, but you should report this rape. It should help you to feel some closure," says Katherine.
“I will try,” says Sky.
“Let’s set it up,” says Katherine.
“Can you help me? I don’t feel comfortable talking to people about what happened,” says Sky quietly.
“Of course, let me go get some forms and stuff for you to fill out,” Katherine says, she stands up and leaves.
Katherine comes out with forms and the two fill them out together. Sky walks out with a smile on her face, feeling as if something she needed to get out of the way was done.
