Verging

Chapter 12

Michael's POV

     I was brought back to life when I saw her lay on that floor. I gasped and choked on the air like if I've been holding in my breath for the past few minutes. I grabbed her blanket and covered her body and carried her to my car. Nobody noticed I was there and I wasn't planning on changing that. I turned on my car and raced to the hospital. I skipped all the red lights I had cops behind me and all I could do was not stop Madeleine my Madeleine was on the verge of leaving me and it just wasn't time for that. When I finally reached the Emergency entrance the cops realized that I was trying to save a life. I grabbed her body and yelled for help, seconds later a doctor and nurses came with a stretcher and I gently layed her body on it.

"She's naked, I found her that way." I said racing to a emergency room with the doctor and nurses.

"Oh my- what happened !?" the nurse and doctor  asked

"A man raped her and beat the shit out of her because she didn't enjoy it oh and she was drugged and paralyzed !" I yelled trying to help them as much as possible so they can help my beautiful angel.

"She just fell and hasn't woken up and-"

"Sir she will be fine. We will do our best and we'll keep you updated incase anything happens to this girl. Please fill out some information over there" The nurse said not calming me down because that son of a bitch touched Madeleine and I was worried for her she is in a very weak state. I needed to get out of this nasty air that held deaths and verges. I needed life right now I walked out of the ER and got my phone out. I texted Luke, Calum, and Aston about what had happened and they said they were on there way.

I hadn't heard from the doctors in 30 minutes and I was starting to get angry at them and not only Ben. My only friends and brothers walked in, well jogged in with a worried look on their faces.

"Michael what happened ?" Ashton asked.

"Ben- that son of a bitch beat up, drugged, and raped Madeleine" I said fueling my anger by saying his name. I swear if Maddy doesn't make it I'll kill him with my own hands. I'll have his malicious blood dripping down my hands.

"What the fuck ! Are you not going to to anything !? We all know you love her and she loves you. We also know you can't let -" Calum said he had a little angry tone in his voice.

"I know I shouldn't let her go not just yet but we can't get hooked anymore you know it isn't going to last long" I said interrupting he comments.

"Well you can think about that, but we think you should just live life with Maddy and leg your feelings take over because it's going to hurt you more if you don't." Luke said.

"But the problem is that I won't have a life anymore soon." I whispered. Hopefully the guys didn't hear me. We can't bring in my devastating environment in this already sad one. The only one that heard me was Ashton because I could see him wiping a tear that dropped from his eye. We were always tough with eachother but when it came to health it was serious for us because we had been friends since... well forever.

The doctor came out after a while and said everything was fine she just needed rest, but she had lost a lot of blood. Nothing to serious but when it comes to my loved ones I took it much more serious. While she was resting, Calum and Luke stayed at the hospital while Ashton and I went to go buy stuffed animals, balloons, flowers and candy. The drive to the store held awkwardness in it.

"Michael can we talk ?" Ashton finally asked when we got to the store, but still in the car.

"Uhm sure but make it quick I have to go back." I said knowing what the topic is about.
