While Jared and I walk to the coffee shop I catch a girl staring at me with disgust. I smile at her so she can stop but she didn't so I ignored it. Jared talks about his education and where he's from , we reach the coffee shop and we are greeted by a young man maybe younger than me.
"Please I invited you" Jared is not letting me pay for my coffee but I mean I want to pay it.
"Jared I can pay it's fine" I smile and he still denied so I just let him pay.
"Thank you" I say to him and he nods. We sit after we receive our orders and make small talk. After a few conversations he asks me about my past.
"So what's your story, Maddie ?" He asks making me remember the past few years
"Um I was adopted and was very fortunate by the people, but that's also how I met Michael" I say smiling.
"Michael ?" He asks in a silly/flirtatious voice. We laugh together. "But mean it's cool how you'r adopted." I slowly nod, smile and look away.
"So how about you ?" I ask changing to him
"Me? Well my parents are divorced and I'm single" He says "But I'm a lady's man" he says in a playing around voice. We giggle.
"No you arn't !" I say back. We finish our coffees and leave the shop. We walk back to the store so he can go back to work.
"Well thanks again and I'll see you another day " I say.
"Hey I know you don't want to give me your number but I say we're friends, and here's my number so if you want to hang out text me or something" He says handing me a paper.
"Thanks I'll totally text you, you're really chill" I say to him and leave. Walking back to the house was a hellhole my mind kept going to depressive history and I couldn't help but not think about it. My mind couldn't stop I tried and tried but it didn't and I feel like crying. I open the door. Luke has left somewhere, Calum is in the kitchen as it seems, Ashton is sleeping like a little baby, and Michael is still playing video games. I noticed Michael didn't really acknowledge me coming in.
"Hi" I say quietly to not interrupt him playing.
"DIE YOU PIECE OF SHIT" He screams out and I get startled and I accidently knock over a candle. Once the noise it made when it hit the floor is heard he turns around. Michael notices the scared expression printed on my face and starts laughing. I lightly giggle with him.
"Are you scared ?" He asks breaking his laughter.
"Obviously" I say quietly and start walking to the kitchen.
"What's wrong darling ?" He says and grabs my waist once he reaches me.
"Nothing it's just" I say almost telling him that my sadness is taking over but he just seems to always have happiness inside of him and I don't want him to feel obligated to help me so I just,"Just that you're so awsome at playing video games." I say trying to change the mood. He looks at me for a while and finally breathes and smiles.
"Well I'm going to be in the kitchen." I say and walk away. I walk into the kitchen and I find Calum eating a piece of toast and Nutela.
"Hey your back" he says after he chews what he had in his mouth.
"Yeah I got some coffee with a new friend and yeah." I say with a sigh.
"New friend?" He asks
"Yeah uh Jared" I say unimportantly and look down at my hands. My mind still couldn't fucking stop with the sad history of mine.
"Ohhh be careful Michael's the jealous type" He says. I hear Calum but I don't respond, I feel a tear escaping my eye and I softly wipe it away.
"Holy shit what's wrong ?" Calum whispers and roughly put his toast down and approaches me.
