--Asher's POV--
Who would've thought that I would be opening up to Katherine Monroe a couple of days ago. A couple of days ago, I was ignoring her like she was the most dirtiest stain on my shirt which won't go away, and now she knows my deepest secret. Twisted much?
Well now that the cat is out of the bag, I can't do anything about it, unless she won't open her mouth to anyone else that is. I mean, I know it's a pretty huge thing knowing that you're adoptive, but its not like I could do anything about it. It wasn't in my hands. All I can do is just wait till I'm eighteen so that I can get the hell out of this place!
I was busy playing a game on my Xbox when my phone suddenly started to ring. Why do people call you when you're in the middle of an intense game?! I just hate that! Pausing the game and groaning to myself in annoyance, I fished out my phone from my pocket and saw the caller ID. A smile immediately grazed my lips when I saw her name.
"Hello?" Forget about the stupid Xbox! I'm talking with my girl.
"Skip the greetings yea, they don't suit you at all." I can imagine her rolling her eyes and chewing on her bottom lip. Just the image was giving me wicked ideas. I need to control myself around her!
"Ah hot stuff. Always ready to lash me with your comebacks and insults. I'm hurt." She scoffed at the other end of the line making me smile a smug grin. Messing with her is one of my favorite hobbies!
"Hardy har har. It was so funny that I forgot to laugh. Okay all things aside, do you want to have a walk in the park?"
"Are you suggesting something here babe?" I just couldn't stop myself from asking that knowing that I'll indeed get an awesome comeback or something.
"The only thing I'll be suggesting is cutting of that million kg of fat aka your head, off of that puny body!"
I let out a deep chuckle at her choice of words and said, "Well alright then. I'll come by and then we can leave together yea?"
"Yup that's fine. Just be sure to clean yourself a bit, last time I saw a booger the size of Texas in your nose!" Before I could say anything else, she hung up on me. I stared down at the phone and just thought how crazy this girl is but alas, the heart instantly connected with hers.
I played my Xbox for sometime and then later got ready to head out with my girl. Of course, I'll clean myself up just like she asked me to even though I don't need to, but still...for her happiness.

"Okay so tell me why did you bring me to the cemetery?" Yes you heard me right, hot stuff tricked me in bringing me to a freaking cemetery!
"Psh, don't tell me you're scared. Does wittle Asher want his mowwy?" She even batted her eyelashes as if she were talking to a baby.
"Um no I'm not scared. I'm just curious to why you brought me here. Care to explain?" She sat down on the grass and patted the space next to her. I inwardly sighed and plonked down beside her.
"Do you ever wonder why people hurt each other? Why the people we love somehow find a way to hurt us? I just don't get it."
Well this was...sudden. I mean, I myself don't know the correct answer to that.
"I don't know babe. Maybe it's a tradition?" She laughed along with me. We sat there quietly for a few minutes when I broke the silence.
"People tend to hurt us because they love things more than people. They don't care if the other is hurting or not. But truth to be told, I myself don't know the correct answer to that."
