--Katherine's POV--

The whole week passed by with me mainly locked inside my house thanks to mother darling. That was the worst week I have ever spent. I wasn't allowed to go out for a walk for Pete's sake! And don't even get me started on the chores. Man! The list was never ending. One chore done, the other awaits me. Anywhale, my mother finally took some pity on me and ungrounded me. To say I was jolly was an understatement.

I felt like a bird who was freed from her cage. Okay that was too exaggerating but we all know how it feels when you're ungrounded and have your phone and laptop with you. Complete and utter bliss.

My stupid baboon faced boyfriend? Well that oily chicken nugget is fine. He tried to break in my room through the window but he weighs a ton! So you can imagine it was impossible for that layers of fat to climb up the window. He even tried getting me out of the window, but I'm the one with the brain in this relationship. Obviously I refused to do so to which he pouted for an hour. He's so dramatic at times!

I haven't received any mails from my father and neither has my mom. I was content with that. I don't want more drama in my life. We all are living peacefully and I don't want it to get disturbed.

"Kathy can you please clean up the kitchen? I have to give the girls a bath."

I was sitting on the couch with my knees almost touching my chest. The tv was switched on and surprisingly a nice movie was coming. I think the name was The Vow or something. But yeah, the movie was amazing. My eyes were glued to the screen while I screamed back at my mother.

"I'll do it in ten minutes!"

I got a muffled reply which I ignored as I was deeply engrossed in the movie. Fifteen minutes later the movie was over. I stood up and switched off the TV. I padded my way to the kitchen where the sink was stocked with dirty dishes. I groaned at the mess. Rolling my sleeves up to my elbows, I started to wash them.

Thirty minutes later the kitchen was all sparkly clean. I smiled at myself and dried my hands with a paper towel. I went to mom's room and saw her lying down on her bed with an arm draped across her eyes. I smiled softly and closed the door. I then checked up on the girls and saw both of them coloring.

I felt all sweaty and smelt of dirty dishes, so I went to take a shower. The hot spray of water hitting against my skin felt amazing. All the tight muscles and joints were relaxed. I spent a few more minutes in the shower and then wrapped myself in a purple fluffy towel. Usually I come out of the washroom all dressed up, but today I felt like changing in my room.

As soon as I entered the room, goosebumps decorated my bare arms and legs. The water droplets were tickling into the towel making me shiver. I huffed out a breath and walked further in. I checked to see if my window was closed and my curtains too. Thankfully both of them were closed so I had nothing to worry about.

My clothes were already set out on my bed. I started to walk towards my bed and let me tell you that the room was dark. I prefer it that way. I felt this weird feeling running through my body like an electric current. I felt like someone was watching me but I shook that feeling away.

I was about to remove the towel when I heard movement in the room. I freezed where I was and clutched the towel tighter to my now shivering body.

"W-Who's there?"

My voice came shaky and totally frightened. There's a possibility that a crazy slimy noodle can be in my room, getting the show of his life. Freaking pervert!  I waited for an answer but got nothing which just confirmed my thoughts that somebody is in my room.

I didn't say anything, just held the towel tighter and turned around to walk back to the washroom. My hand was inches away from the handle when I felt a weight on my bare shoulder. It was easy to tell that it was a human being, not some alien. I closed my eyes and screamed at the top of my lungs. I was so into screaming that I didn't notice my back pressed against the door and a shadow towering over me. The person's hand muffled my scream so I was helpless.
