We arrived at the venue. It was a big hall. Great, now I have to be social. We stepped out of the car and headed in. I looked around at all the people. This should be fun. I know no one here. By the looks of it, neither does Matt. "Who are these people?" Matt asked no one in particular. I shrugged when he looked at me. "This is Blake," I heard someone say. I turned around to see Val standing with a man with grey hair and a greying woman. "Blake, these are my parents," she told me. "Hi, it's nice to meet you," I said in a sweet voice and held my hand out for them to shake. In my high school, you greeted any visitors you didn't know and your elders like that so I guess that's the best option here. Her father grabbed my hand firmly and shook it. Her mother, however, got in my personal space and hugged me. I hugged her back because I basically had no choice. After what seemed like forever, she let go of me and they walked off to meet some other guests. "I didn't like that," I said and Matt laughed at me.

Eventually, the party ended and I was free. We walked back to the car and got in. "Everybody loved you, Blake" Val told me. I smiled as she looked back to me. I picked up my phone and earphones and put them in. I pressed shuffle. Dead! by my chemical romance came on. I love this song. I spent the rest of the journey listening to Gerard's beautiful voice.
