yay! It's Monday. I stood in front of the mirror and started to get ready. My phone flashed and a message from Cody popped up. 'Good morning beautiful'. I smiled to myself and continued to get ready. I put on my Eos lip balm and walked out of the bathroom. I sat on my bed and slipped on my converse. I went on my date with Cody a couple of days ago. Val covered for me cause I'm sure as hell not ready to tell Matt yet. He'd probably freak out. I mean you have seen the way he reacts to the jokes. Anyway, we had a picnic on the beach and at the end of the night we kissed and he asked me to be his girlfriend. Obviously, I said yes.

I walked downstairs and sat down in the kitchen. Val put a plate of toast in front of me and I started to eat it. "so you never told me what happened the other night" Val told me. It's true. Matt kept getting in the way every time we tried to talk. I looked around for Matt. "He's still asleep," Val told me. "Ok, so, he took me to the beach....then we kissed and he asked me to be his girlfriend," I told her the story not missing out any of it. "Aww" Val started before Matt came down and asked her why she was doing that. She made up some lie about how she saw a picture of a cat on her phone. He nodded and made himself some coffee. "Come on Blake, you are gonna be late," Val said and I ran upstairs to grab my bag and phone. Val drove me to school. As I was leaving the car, Val stopped me and said: "Don't worry, I didn't tell my dad about Matt for at least a year". I smiled at her and we hugged before I got out of the car. 

"Hey, beautiful, I missed you. Sorry about not talking since our date. My Mom made us all leave our phones at home before we went to see my grandma" Cody said as he hugged me. "What?" Maxx asked. Great now we have some explaining to do.
