Gossiping is probably one of my worst habits. I don't know why I do it. In the moment, it feels fine and funny, afterwards I realize I just talked bad about a friend or someone who has never done anything to me.
I would not want anyone to talk about me or judge me therefore I should not do it. We need to learn how if we talk about someone, it's good and positive things. Everything we say or do should be to create a good impact on someone else. Not only does being positive make others feel good, it makes us feel good knowing we made a positive impact on someone else's life!
We are all children of God, so if we gossip about someone, we are judging His creations. I pray that one day I will be a person that sees the good in everyone. Not only the good, but the truth. I want to be able to see the truth in people and still love everyone as the person they are.
Some of the worst times I talk about people is when I'm around my friends, and we have nothing to talk about. Instead of letting ourselves give into the foolish ways, we should say something nice or change the topic. Each day when we find our selves about to think something judgy, instead of giving in and thinking it, find three things we like about that person. Don't dwell on the bad things, and look for the good.
Our words can make a huge impact: good or bad. The way we choose to use our words is up to us. Gossiping is like a cycle. If we say something bad about someone, it will get repeated and repeated and so on. It will send a chain of gossip. If we say something mean to someone, chances are they will say something mean about you and someone will tell someone else about y'alls conversation causing another chain of gossip. But if we say something good, good word will be spread causing a positive chain. Or causing someone to be happy that day. Wouldn't it be an amazing feeling to know you made someone happier!?
Anyone who hides hatred is a liar. Anyone who spreads gossip is a fool.
