For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
-----James 3:16Practically everyone I know has been jealous at least once in their life. I know I have been many of times. I wish I knew the solution to it, but I don't. The only thing I know to do about it is pray.
Jealousy is a terrible thing. It leads to anger and ultimately resentment. One of the worst things is when I get jealous of my friends. When I am jealous, I dwell on it, and because I love my friends, I get mad at myself for feeling the way I feel against them. I just want to be able to be happy for everyone even if it means I get put second. This is a hard thing to accomplish especially when we are constantly comparing ourselves to others.
I pray to be happy with who I am. I pray to be happy for others even if they accomplish more than I do. I pray to love everyone. I pray to want what's best for others even if it means I receive less. --These are all things that I wish to accomplish, but right now I am failing at them.
Being happy for others when we get less is hard, especially when we are competing. I rodeo, and I compete against my friends. For us, it's not really a problem. We are happy for each other when we do good, and I'm thankful for this. But the people ahead of me in points, I sometimes do not want them to do good just so I can get ahead. I don't want to be this way. So when in life we begin to feel this way, we need to pray to God and then walk up to that person and wish them the best of luck.
We need to learn how to be happy for others in there well doings. We need to learn how to pray for others to do good and actually mean it. We need to be happy for others, not jealous.
Some of the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in he service of others.
-----Gordon b. Hinckley****I KNOW THIS WASNT THE BEST BUT JEALOUSY IS KIND OF A CONFUSING TOPIC FOR ME, IDK WHY. IS THERE A TOPIC YALL THINK I SHOULD WRITE ON?
