I wander around the estate, trying to find the library. I was very bored and I felt like reading to pass the time. My bare feet hit the carpet floor as I slowly look in each room for the library. As I go to open a door, on the other side I can hear some movement. I open it and find Sebastian, moving around at an inhuman speed, cleaning.
"Sebastian, how..." I stop talking, amazed and confused.
"My lady, I'm simply one hell of a butler" he says then leaves the room, seemingly finished cleaning.
When the door closes I hear loud talking come from a bookshelf. I walk closer to it, peeking between some books, and find Finnie, Mey-Rin and Baldroy sitting behind the bookshelf.
"Umm, why are you behind the bookshelf?"
"Were trying to get a picture of Sebastian. This camera shows the being most valued to the person photographed. A being not of this world" Baldroy answers. I nod my head, pretending to believe what was going on.
"So did Ciel have you take a picture of Sebastian?" I ask.
"Yes ma'am" Mey-Rin says.
"Alright, I'll leave you to it" I say grabbing a book then wandering the halls once again.
I walk through the front door, wishing to walk around the gardens for some fresh air while reading, when I see Sebastian sitting on the step caressing a cat. He looked happy for once. I stop and the door creaks closed, making Sebastian look up. I kept the book open in my hands as I stared at Sebastian curiously. Before I could speak a giant dog comes leaping at him, transforming from a giant dog into a human with long silver hair, making the cat run away. He cuddles up to Sebastian, looking envious of the attention the cat was getting.
"W-what?" I nearly drop my book from shaking so much. I didn't know what was going on. First Sebastian moves at inhuman speed and then a giant dog turns into a human.
"My lady do not be alarmed" Sebastian says trying to remove the human/dog from himself.
I back up to the door, finally dropping my book. I stare on in shock. I couldn't process what I had just seen. It's impossible. A giant dog, for one, and then he transforms into a human! Next thing I'll learn is that demons and angels are real!
"What the hell!" I yell, making the silver haired being jump in fear.
"Please calm down my lady, allow me to explain. This is Pluto. He is a demon hound"
"The hell's that?" I say, my voice still booming but curious.
"A demon hound can change from humans to dogs" I wait for him to continue but he doesn't.
"Is that it?"
He nods his head and turns back to the now sleeping dog. He was in dog form, curled up in a ball. I pick up my book, my hands still mildly shaking, and walk back inside. Sebastian follows me.
"Sebastian, would you show me to Ciel?"
"Of course my lady" he says leading me to the study where Ciel was.
Before I open the door Sebastian walks off. Inside I see the servants and Ciel. When I walked in they all filed out. I glide up to Ciel, who was sitting behind his desk, and sit on his desk.
"What type of household are you running" I say, my properness slipping away. I had some friends who didn't speak quite properly, they were from America, a place that didn't need the properness. I must've picked up a few things from them because at times like this I speak like them.
"What do you mean?" He says resting his cheek on his fist.
"What I mean is you have a butler who moves at an inhuman speed, a dog that can transform into a human and a steward who can't speak for more than 20 seconds!"
"Ah, well it is simply how I live. My butler is very good at his job, the demonhound was someone I promised to take care of and the steward has very low energy levels"
I stand with my mouth and eyes wide open. I couldn't believe he has lived with this chaos for two years. I lean across the desk and wrap my arms around him.
"I'm so so sorry Ciel! I left you alone in this crazy world! It's not yet fit for someone of your innocence!"
He sighs "It couldn't be helped. But I'm happy you are here now. Now I will have someone who understands to aid me with my business"
"Of course I'll help, I'd love to"
I smile and I see a very small smile on his face. He looked like he was trying very hard, seeming to have not smiled since the last time I've seen him.
"Well I'll be off" I walk to the door and my hand touches the doorknob. "Oh and do tell your butler..." I stop talking as I open the door to come face to face with Sebastian. "... that it is rude to listen to people's conversations"
I slide past him, chuckling to myself at the look on his face. His eyes were wide. He must not have known I knew he was standing outside. I stop in my tracks and turn back to Sebastian.
"Oh, and Sebastian. Please take this back to the library" I say throwing the book at him as if it was a knife, something I was very skilled at doing. I had practiced fighting ever since I was young because it interested me.
He catches it with ease between two fingers. "As you wish" he says, his eyes narrowing.
I smirk and walk off. There were so many secrets about this whole estate and the people on it that I wanted to uncover. Starting with that mysterious butler.
