I walk behind Ciel and Sebastian, still racking my brain for a possible answer as to what Sebastian was. I still didn't have enough evidence to figure out what he was, I only knew he wasn't human. After all I've just became friends with ghosts and a demon hound lives on my cousins estate.
We walk into a room to find Tanaka sitting in a chair. Across from him was a white haired man with purple eyes. It was the queen's butler, Ash.
"Greetings lord Phantomhive and lady Rosemarie"
He then rants on about something, ending with a catchphrase Sebastian loves to use.
"What kind of butler would I be" he says taking a sip from his cup.
"A normal butler" I mutter to myself.
"To what do we owe the pleasure?" Sebastian asks him.
He explains why he was there. I sit in a chair and wait for him to finish. When he does finish a shadow blocks out the sun coming in from he window. Pluto was there, in his human form, banging on the window happily. However when Ash looked at him and glared, Pluto started to whimper and left.
"How odd, Pluto is never like that" I say getting suspicious of Ash. He seemed almost like Sebastian. Inhuman. No human could make a demon hound shy away. Sebastian seemed to be thinking the same thing.
"Who exactly was that?" Ash asks.
I block out their conversation again and watch him speak to Sebastian. His eyes looked like they were hiding something. I ignored it and followed Ciel to his study. Ash had left and since I had nothing else to do I remained with Ciel.
Sebastian mentions something about coffins then the next thing I know we are headed to the Undertaker. We walk in, I notice all the coffins lying around. A man in black with white hair stood at the counter.
"Listen up undertaker, I have something to ask of you" Ciel announces. The man only snickers and turns around, revealing a man with glasses and sharp teeth. Grell, who had been dressed as the undertaker, runs over with a giant smile on his face. He attempts to hug Sebastian hits the wall when Sebastian moves out of the way.
"Well hello my lord" a voice says. Ciel walks over to a giant vase filled with salt. A mans head stuck out of it.
"He said he wasn't afraid of grim reapers so I buried him in salt" Grell explains.
"Tell me what are you doing here?" Ciel asks Grell.
"Will sent me on a job. I was tired so I laid down in a field of flowers. Next thing I know I'm waking up in this shop" he answers.
I wander around the shop, a hand brushing over the coffins I walk by. They were all empty. I jump when I feel a cold hand on my shoulder. Sebastian was standing behind me.
"We are leaving now my lady"
He doesn't seem to have any body heat and he moves without making a noise.
"Alright. Where are we headed?"
"You'll see" he says guiding me out the door and into the carriage.
We walk through a village full of people wearing robes. We are lead to a church with beautiful stained glass windows. Some children run in and stand in front of Grell. They call him unclean, making me laugh.
"Clean one!" They start talking to me, all dragging me back towards the door they came from. "We need to get you away from the unclean one"
"There's no need, you three run along" they run back into a room smiling and laughing. A girl walks out, explaining how everyone is unclean at a certain age.
"You're different. You're the first clean one I've seen who is older than the age"
My eyes widen. I don't know what it means to be clean but it must be good, right? Sebastian then walks over to her, pretty close might I add. The girl backs up into the door, a big blush on her cheeks. Then he slams a hand next to her head, moving his face in closer to hers. He whispers something, pulls away then blows off a speck from his glove.
Me, Ciel and Grell stand outside as Sebastian and the girl go inside a barn-like structure. There are a lot of loud noises coming from inside. I quickly try to cover Ciel's ears but he shakes me off of him. Grell gets angry because, well he's in love with Sebastian. But me, I don't know how I feel about this. I thought I'd be fine, since there's nothing going on between us at all, but I seem to regret my decision. I'm starting to think I don't see him as a mere butler, no matter what he is.
We walk inside when they were finished and the girl explained everything while fixing her hair. Grell stood behind Sebastian, shaking angrily. I stood beside Ciel, feeling very awkward. It felt weird to just waltz in after what had happened.
I follow behind Ciel and Sebastian through a stone pathway when I'm suddenly dragged away. A hand covered my mouth, stopping me from screaming. My captor took me somewhere. I couldn't see where since they had a blindfold over my eyes. They tie me to a chair, keeping me from escaping.
I try to get free but I can't. They had chains tied around me, something that is near impossible to escape. I hear footsteps come closer to me, then I'm pulled out of the seat, the chains now removed. I feel chains being wrapped around my ankles and wrists. My feet come off of the ground as I'm pulled up into the air.
"There's an angel among us!" Someone yells. "She is the most cleansed of us all"
The others cheer and some more things are said before everyone leaves. I hear Ciel enter the room. Then the sound of glass breaking. Sebastian yells for me and Ciel. I'm not able to see what was happening but all I feel is myself being dragged away.
