My Demon Butler

I rush out of the castle and search from the sky for Sebastian and Ciel. I could hear the crackling from the fire, screams from the people, and the flap of my wings. With all this noise surrounding me the only thing I could focus on was finding them. Keeping Ciel alive.

After a while I find Grell and the undertaker chatting. They both seemed unfazed by what was going on around them. Grell was looking through a record of one of the dead bodies near him, it was blank. I ignored Grell, who was freaking out over the blank record, and stand in front of the undertaker.

"Have you seen Sebastian or Ciel?" I ask quickly.

"Not recently" he says.

I groan and hear footsteps coming towards us.
Five grim reapers stood in the road. The one in the middle was complaining about doing unpaid overtime and someone plundering souls. He then threw Grell a chainsaw.

I knew I wasn't going to get any help from them so I flew away, continuing my search. I finally find them up above the rest of the city. Sebastian was surrounded in dark clouds, holding onto the spot where his arm used to be and Ash was speaking to him, or was it Angela? It sounded like the both of them. Ciel sat on the side, watching as if it were all a show. Black shadows, that looked like spirits, then began approaching him.

I listen to Ash laugh maniacally and lunge at Sebastian. Ciel cries out making Sebastian lose focus. The spirits disappear and we could now see them clearly. Ash whistled for Pluto but he did not come, making him very angry. He shot up into the air, his face changing between Ash's and Angela's very quickly, then feathers shot down from him. Sebastian grabbed me and Ciel, shielding us. I looked at his back when the attack was finished to see feathers sticking out of it. He then leans into Ciel's ear, whispering something, then pulls away. He gently puts a hand on my cheek and kisses my lips softly. When he pulls away he whispers in my ear.

"Please keep your eyes closed"

"What? Sebastian why do-" he cuts me off with a kiss and pulls away.

I watch as black feathers start to fall, surrounding him, and he walks towards Ash. I knew I should close my eyes but I did not feel like it was the right time. I had to get Ciel to safety, the fight was going to be dangerous. The steps of Sebastian's boots turned into clanking noises as the feather wall became thicker. I lift Ciel up and bring him a little further away from the demon and angel.

I looked back to see Ash terrified. The ground beneath us tilted and Ciel slid away, almost falling off the platform. He managed to grab hold of the edge, his eyes still closed. I could only stand in shock, it felt as if my feet had been chained to the floor. I couldn't believe I was witnessing the death of an angel.

After Sebastian had killed the angel he walked over to Ciel who was still dangling on the edge. I quickly rush over to Ciel, apologizing for not helping sooner. When I tried to lift Ciel back onto the platform he let go, dropping into the water below. I gasped and Sebastian dived in to save him.

I see them appear on the surface of the water and sigh in relief. I dive down into the water and meet them. Sebastian got a boat and placed an unconscious Ciel inside it then helped me in. I sat and watched the burnt town pass by.

"Is this goodbye?" I ask staring at the water below.

"I'm afraid it is" Sebastian says sitting next to me, letting the boat drift across the water aimlessly.

"Why must it happen so soon?"

"The time has simply come" he takes my hand in his and I turn to him. "I will not forget"

"But who says I will not? How do I know if I even have a memory afterwards. My life may no longer have a path to live on, what happens then?"

He leans his forehead against mine. "You will remember how your cousin fought bravely in his life, and how I will always love you no matter where or what I am"

I stare into his eyes for a moment and a small smile forms on my face. His lips gently meet mine for a kiss then he pulls away.

"You look lovely" he says with a soft smile, looking at my now tattered dress and messy wet hair.

"And you look striking" I say with a sad smile, looking at his shoulder where an arm was missing.

I stand and spread out my wings.

"I love you, my angel" he says.

I smile, taking one last glance at the young Earl then look back to the demon. My hand slowly slides away from his as I take to the sky.

"I love you too, my demon butler"
