wedded bliss

chapter one

rachel is sat looking at her reflection in the mirror she cant believe her own eyes its only six weeks after her mom and dad were killed in a tragic boating accident.

there she sits looking at herself wearing a classy wedding dress rachel cant believe it she cant believe that in less than an hour she will be mrs rachel smythe.

while rachel is grateful to sebastian for giving her the chance of not being deported to canada where she wouldnt know anyone or have any place to stay or any money. to her this is strictly a marriage of convenience she has no plans to fulfil any duies other than cooking and cleaning and attending parties with sebastian. she had made it clear they would have separate rooms before she agreed to marry him.

rachel was at the city hall with her teacher mr shuester and best friends kurt hummel and blaine anderson trying to speak to someone about the letter she had gotton four days before telling her after the city had looked into her parents estate upon death. they hadnt filled out her paper work correctly therefore she was to be deported back to Canada. as rachel cried on blaine's shoulder as no one was listening to mr shuester sebastian smythe and his father charles came walking over to them.

" miss berry my son and i would like a word with you" mr smythe said

" we are trying to stop her deportation " mr shuester said

" so are we" mr smythe said

" ok" rachel said she followed sebastian and his father over to a bench

" please have a seat miss berry" mr smythe said

" rachel i am truly sorry for your loss" sebastian said

" thank you" rachel said trying not to cry

" miss berry my son and i have being talking and while i have influence over the city i dont over this im sorry however sebastian and i have come up with a plan to stop it" mr smythe said

" really" rachel asked looking back and forth between them

" sebastian" charles said

" rachel there is one way that you can stay in this country and that is if you married an American citizen" sebastian said

" married im not courting anyone" rachel said

" marry me" sebastian said rachel was stunned

" pardon" rachel asked

" if you marry sebastian you can stay here with your friends in ths only place that has being home to you.  it is a good opportunity miss berry you know who i am you would have a very comfortable life i have a property on my estate ready that the two of you could live in" mr smythe said

"sorry its taking me awhile to comprehend all this" rachel said

" i completely understand why dont you come dine with us this evening and we can talk more" mr smythe said

" surely this wouldnt be fair on you sebastian " rachel said

"it was my idea" sebastian said rachel was even more shocked

" miss berry we smythe men need  good sensible wives who wont show us up in public sebastian wants that in a wife. i knew your father he was a great man and he talked of you often i know you possess the qualities needed in a smythe wife.  your both sixteen it is not unusual for couples your age to wed sebastian's mother was your age when i married her i was eighteen and we are quite happy " mr smythe said.

" im sorry rachel its no use they wont listen" mr shuester said looking apologetic for interupting them.

" we shall leave you now miss berry dinner is at seven and here is our address " mr smythe said handing her a note.
