chapter seventeen

As they arrived back in the house Sebastian was been quiet and was avoiding looking at her and while she felt awkward she knew they were going to have to talk about it things had changed between then and it needed addressing.

" im going to make some coffee then i think we should talk" she said he nodded but didnt look at her.

He walked out of the room to the living room while she made the coffee she hated things been awkward between them now she thought that they were past that now.

Once the coffee was read she headed tray in hand to the living room where he was stood l0with his back toher looking out of the window.

" im sorry i shouldnt have said anything" he said.

" i think we need to talk about us" she said he sighed and turned not looking at her and walked over to the couch and sat down she went and sat next to him.

"Im sorry if i made you uncomfortable " he said

" its ok but we need to be clear with each other from now on.... when we got married the deal was we would have our own rooms meaning children were not even an option. Now we share a room i guess what im trying to say is we need to decide whether or not what we have now is a proper marriage. Before we were simply living in the same house now we sleep in the same room we kiss things have changed since the arrangement was made" she said

" you want me to be honest" he asked looking at her.

"Yes" she said feeling nervous.

" i told you i married you because i couldn't bare you leaving and going to canada which is true. The thoightbof never seeing you again broke my heart because im in love with you i have been since that day i first saw you looking at the house. i hoped you would accept my proposal i figured you sleeping in the room next to me was better than nothing. I guess i hoped that once we got settled and you got used to been around me that maybe something might develop between us" he said.

" it has" she said he looked at her holding her gaze for a moment before leaning in and they kissed.

" you said we need to decide if we want our marriage to be a proper marriage well i do the question is what do you want but you dont have to qnswer right now. I understand you will have to think about it" he said taking hold of her hand she saw tears in his eyes and felt her own tears drip down her face.

" i dont have to think about it" she said

"Oh" he said she saw he was looking nervous.

" i want what you want" she said he looked at her and raised his hand and stroked her cheek whilst holding her gaze.

"So we are a proper couple now" he asked and she nodded before she could say nything his lips her on hers.  This kiss was different to the others they had shared it was lije the final boundaries hokding them back were gone.

" i love you" he said as they broke the kiss.

" i love you" she said

"You do" he looked at her.

"Yeah i guess i didnt realise it myself with everything else what with my parents..." she started to say. Ut stopped as a wave of grief struck her. He pulled her into a cuddle and just sat there holding her.

" its starting to get dark" rachel n0said looking out of the window.

" yeah it is" he said

" i best go start dinner" she said

" why dont we make dinner together" he said standing up off the couch and helping her up.

They walked through to the kitchen rachel set about making some vegetable soup Sebastian set the kitchen table. They hd a huge dining room but there was no need to set it just for the two of them.

After dinner they returned to the living room Sebastian put on some music and held out his hand which she took and they began to dance.  Since their talk earlier rachel felt calmer than she had in weeks she knew it was because now she had a family she had a husband who loved her and she didnt feel the loneliness that her parents deaths had caused her.

" shall we go on up" Sebastian asked she had been lost in her own thoughts.

" ok" she said

He switched off the record player and tuck her by the hand and they walked out of tbe living room and up the stairs to their bedroom.

Rachel felt nervous as they entered the room as it would be the first night they would share a bed knowing that something might happen.

"You ok" Sebastian asked clearly he had noticed her lost in her thoughts again.

"Yeah" she said grabbing her nighty and heading to the ensuite bathroom toget ready for bed.

Once she was wearing her nighty she brushed her hair and caught sight of her reflection in the mirror it was the first time since losing her parents she could see her old self within herself.

Once she was ready she headed back into the bedroom where Sebastian was already in bed she walked over and got in feeling incredibly nervous.

" are you ok" he asked.

"Yeah " she said he wrapped his arms around her and placed a tender kiss on her forehead.

" your not worried are you" he asked a moment later.

"Worried" she asked

"Yeah that because things have changed that im going to expect something " he said and she blushed.

" rachel i never thought i would even get to hold you in my arms thats enough for now i dont want to rush this" he said and smiled at her she smiled back.

" now rach there is one thing that i do want to test out tonight" he said she looked at him.

" i have this theory that i might be a cuddly sleeper" he said pulling her closer to him so that her head was resting on his chest.

"Yep i was right" he said making her giggle she looked at him and they held each others gaze before bofe leaned in and they had a goodnight kiss.

Hi guys

Im sorry my updates havent been as regular lately they are several reasons why firstly i have had a lot goingnon nothing bad just really busy. Secondly i have started seeing someone which as some of you know i broke my last relationship ended at the end of last year. Its taken me a while to trust again but he seems lovely. thirdly since wattpad premium had become available in the uk wattpad has been quite glitchy it takes forever to load i usually have a blank white screen for ten minutes before it loads.

Anyway hope your enjoying this story im hoping to get the next chapter done in the next couple of days probably only two chapters left.
