chapter eleven

Rachel walked down the stairs and into the living room where Sebastian was waiting for her. She had struggled to decide wht to wear for going out for dinner but had finally settled on a cream fitted dress with cream laced jacket over it.

" you look beautiful " Sebastian said as he saw her she felt her face flush she had never been good with compliments not that she had had many.

A short while later they arrived at the restaurant and she might be mistaken but she felt like everybody was staring at her.

" mr smythe follow me your table is ready" the waiter said Sebastian placed hishand on her lower back and they walked to their table which thankfully was in a more private part of the restaurant and she didnt feel like he was been stared at.

The waiter went to pull out her chair but Sebastian beat him to it she gave him a shy smike as she sat down.

" the food here is unbelievable " he said taking his seat opposite her.

" you have been here often then" she asked

" its where my dad proposed to my mom so this restaurant means alot to my family"  he said rachel nodded.

" hello Sebastian " a girl said appearing at their table the girl had a sickly sweet smile on her face as she stood looking at Sebastian before shooting rachel a death glare.

" rachel this is christina beaumont herfather works for mine, christina this is my wife rachel" Sebastian said

" nice to meet you" rachel said not meaning a word of it.

"You too we must talk sometime rachel you can tell how you managed to tame him" christina sid before walking away.

"Lovely isnt she" Sebastian said with a chuckle.

" yeah she is" rachel said

" she has been trying to catch my eye ever since my dad promoted hers like i would want her" he said

They looked at their menus and ordered their food they now sat in silence but it wasnt an uncomfortable one.

" im taking the afternoons off school next week to ease back in " Sebastian said

" that's a good idea" rachel said

" maybe i could tutor you a couple of afternoons" he said

"Yeah that sounds goods" she said as their starters arrived their food looked amazing.

Most of the time they were eating their starter and their main courses Sebastian was telling her about his family his grandparents and his plans for college once he graduates from dalton.

After ordering their deserts rachel rescued herself to the ladies room and as she was washing her hands christina walked in.

"You sure landed on your feet didnt you" Christina said

"Excuse me" rachel said

" you think you can just swoop in and take Sebastian when he is the most eligible man our age in the state" christina said.

" not that it is any of your business but Sebastian asked me to marry him i didnt steal him from you or anyone" rachel said.

" im guessing your in a delicate condition as there has to be a reason why his parents agreed to this marriage " christina said.

" im not pregnant nor would it be any of your concern if i was. you dont know anything about me or our marriage" rachel said

" well enjoy it while it lasts Sebastian will soon tire of you your not interesting enough for him" christina said and walked out.
