"How about this chord after this one?" Shawn asked, hitting a few keys.
"I like that," I nodded. I went back to my paper, and realized that I had filled up a whole page. I raised my eyebrows in shock. I didn't even notice I had written that much, it all just came out.
I picked out a few phrases I liked and tried to string them together lyrically on another page.

I am not an object
Not a toy to shake around
What was it all for? What was the point.
Love, heartache, betrayal, anger

It didn't really rhyme, but I didn't really care. It was accurate to how I was feeling at the moment.

I read what I had written to shawn.
"That sounds really good!" He exclaimed. "You're a natural," he winked at me and chuckled.

I felt my checks getting hot and I smiled and looked away.

"Do you want to take a break to go eat something? I'm starving!" He said after a couple more minutes of working.
"I would love to," I smiled at him.
-
"Shawn!" I squealed, as he threw a piece of banana at me.
He put his finger to his lips to signal me to be quiet, but couldn't help laughing.
"People are sleeping in this house!" He giggled.
I rolled my eyes.
"And others are just trying to eat their apple in peace!" I said, referring to the apple I was eating.
"Too bad you can't throw a piece of an apple!" He said in a kid like tone.
"Oh yeah?" I bit into my apple to get a chunk out of it and threw it at him.
"Hey! That was gross!" He plucked it out of his hair and tossed it back at me. I gave him a pretend shocked look, as to say how dare you, and found the piece of banana he threw at me earlier and chucked it back at him.

We eventually broke out into a full fledged food fight.

"Come back here Mendes!" I yelled as he ran out the door. I chased after him.

He had disappeared. He had to have been around here somewhere, hiding.

"Shawn!" I yelled out into the nature, still laughing.

"ROSEMARY!" I heard him yell from behind as he tackled me. We ended up on the ground, him on top of me. We were both laughing hysterically. He rolled over and laid next to me and we both looked up at the sky.
"Where were you hiding?" I said eventually.
"Behind those trees," he pointed in a direction.
I nodded. We turned to look at each other and smiled. He was so perfect. His personality, his looks. It made me want to beat Jeffery up just so I could have Shawn to myself.

"Last one back in the house is a sour muffin!" Shawn said suddenly, getting up and bolting back to the house.

"Wha- Shawn!" I yelled after him and started running too.

"BEAT YA!" He yelled, tagging the door.
"Not fair! You started early!" I whined and playfully punched him in the abs.
"Hey!" He said and hit my shoulder.
We walked back into the kitchen and picked up everything we threw at each other.
"I'm still hungry," he pouted.
"Well that what you get for throwing your breakfast at me!" I exclaimed.
He walked over to the cabinet and looked for more things to eat.
"We have cereal," he shrugged.
"That will work," I agreed.

We sat down at the table and poured the Cheerios into bowls and poured milk over top.

"So what do you want to do today?" He asked.
"I don't know. Maybe we could go exploring or on a hike or something,"
"That sounds like fun!" He exclaimed.
I smiled as I ate.

                                  ••••
"Shawn put me down!" I screamed as he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
We had found a trail by the lake and decided to go down it. It wasn't the best hike, but it was still fun.

That is, until he threw me over his shoulders.
I hit his back trying to get him to release me.
He just laughed and ran down the path.

"Mendes! Put me down!"
"Hang on we are almost there!"

'There' turned out to be a clearing in the woods. He let me get down after we were in the middle of the field.
"Where are we?" I asked looking around.
"A field. Its beyond the lake," he pointed, and I could faintly see the water.

I laid down in the grass.
"What are you doing?" He laughed.
"Taking a break," I shrugged.
"Oh yeah, because you did all the hard work," he said sarcastically.
"Well it's not my fault that you picked me up!" I laughed as he shook his head and laid down with me.

We sat like that for a while, pointing at clouds and making shapes with them. It was like we were two little kids again, and I loved it.

He said something funny, and with out even thinking I got up just enough to plant a soft kiss on his lips.
It took him by surprise as much as it took me by surprise.
He looked at me and smiled.
"What was that for?" He asked.
"For being cute," I shrugged and finally looked at him, and we was smiling like an idiot.
