The doorbell rang out of the blue but Luke was far too busy with cleaning and cooking that he couldnt answer the door. "Sky do me a favor and answer that for me please?" With a grunt, sky got up from playing games and went to the door. When he opened it, Evan stood on the otherside but instantly shushed Sky. He was so happy to finally see his father again that he hugged him quietly and let him inside. "Skylar who was it?" Luke started to wash some dishes he didnt need anymore. "It was just an old friend of mine." Sky walled into the kitchen with Evan following him behind. "Oh yeah? What did this old friend want..your car again?" Luke sounded exhausted and beaten down but still managed to look the same way he did years ago. "No actually he didn't. This old friend wouldn't." Skylar couldnt hold his happiness in and it was obvious. So Luke stopped what he was doing and turned to look at his son but in the process covered his mouth in shock. "Evan..?" Luke mumbled out of question. "I didnt know you never moved out the same place. This..really is where I left you." Evan laughed nervously before standing there awkwardly. Luke finally just gave up and hugged evan for a long time.

"Why are you here? Where are your wife and kids?" Luke quickly wiped his eyes after he let go. "Its a long story..but now I'll be paying child support." Evan sighed and looked at sky. "But I realized after we got off the phone months ago..that I never should have left you with him when he was a baby. I didnt understand how much work that was for you. But honestly Luke do you get any sleep? You look exhausted."

Luke looked at Evan, sighing. "No..because once I stop recording I immediately have to get ready for work..I get an hours sleep a day. Sky needs his phone and his car. Hell, some of my equipment broke but I can't replace it. Sky would have to stop using his car for a month." Evan was disappointed but understood. Sky soon set his phone on the counter along with his keys. "Dad..I..I dont need my car, I'm fine with you driving me to places. All I really need my phone is to call you. I dont need nothing else." He put his hands in his pockets and looked down.

"Oh..dont tell me that now Skylar..you've got plenty of friends to FaceTime and hang out with. You need those." Luke went back to cooking as well as cleaning. "Dad I don't need them! I've had the same full tank of gas in my car for two months now I barely use it. The only thing I ever need it for is school, I dont pick up friends anymore I'm not as cool as I say I am." Skylar took his phone, keys and handed them to Luke. "I'm telling you. I don't need them. I want to help you but you never let me."

"Because I dont want you to say I'm terrible father for making you do work and takin' away your phone and car!" Luke was beginning to get easily overwhelmed by the argument. "Look Luke just, let me finish all of this for you. Go lay down for the night. I'll bring you food." Evan gently moved him out of the kitchen. "Evan I can't-" Luke tried to turn back but Evan wouldnt let him. "No listen, you need a break. Let me help you." Then Evan picked up Luke and carried him to his room.

"Luke you've worked yourself so much you feel so light and fragile now." Evan smiled out of sadness. This wasnt healthy for Luke but he knew Luke was only trying to give their son a good life since Evan wasn't there. The older man has his arms wrapped around the others neck, hanging on. "I try to keep myself healthy...guess its not working." Luke mumbled and kept his face hidden. Finally Evan laid him down. "Okay Luke now let me talk to you." He say down next to the man and looked at him. "I know you may not forgive me in a snap but I want you to know I'm here to work it out now. What I did back then was immature of me to do. I know what I need to be doing now though sky is already grown just let me do what I can now before you tell me no." He gave the older man a small smile before getting up and heading to leave. "Ev..don't go yet." Luke kept straight forward while Evan stopped walking. "I may not forgive you now..but give a few hours..I'll let you know." Luke then laid down completely, hugging a pillow. "I won't let you down Luke..not again."

"So..what did dad say?" Skylar stood up from the bar. "I get to spend a few hours with you while he lies down but I need to ask you, are you willing to give me a chance at being your dad now because I couldnt back then?" Evan turned down the food Luke was cooking to a low heat. Sky immediately ran around the island and hugged Evan. "Ive only seen pictures of you.. And I've heard stories on how I picked you over dad..but I wanna know a question he can't answer for me." Sky looked at him and stood straight. "I..I looked related to you but not him and..he says I never..really had come from you so..am I adopted?" Evan frowned and felt guilty to answer the question Luke couldn't. But how could he so easily? Skylar was right though. He did look just like Evan but nothing like Luke, he had never realized that those years ago. "Skylar..I don't want to break your heart but yes.. Luke fell in love with your little face as soon as he saw you were just dropped off at that orphanage a few days before. You were only 4 months."

"I'm not mad..d-Dad I just..wanted to know why I looked So different from him and why he was working do hard to make me happy When I was happy and proud of him for being able to manage to raise me alone. That's a lot for him because he was already in his thirties with me just being a baby." Sky wiped the tears in his eyes. Evan hugged him as soon as he was done. "I'm so sorry for leaving you and him all alone. I was so lost and felt forced to immediately grow up when that wasnt the case." Evan's voiced cracked as he spoke. Soon Skylar started sobbing into Evan's shoulder. "Just tell me you ain't leaving again. I wanna spend as much time with you guys as a family before I actually decide to leave the house for good." Sky mumbled out between sobs. "I wont leave but its up to your dad if he wants me to stay Skylar..okay?"

"Okay.." He wiped his eyes again and smiled at Evan. "Now can we play some games together?"
