We were laughing.

It was just me and him. That handsome as hell man who fucking loves owls.
Yeah..
Him.

We were hanging out together. That's what I've wanted for a long time.
To just be with him.

Whatever.

It was hell without him and you wouldn't understand.
"Luke..? You alright?" Evan stopped walking and turned to me.
We had just got done seeing The Purge: Election Year together. Wasn't a great movie but it was alright. Hell, Delirious doesn't need something called a purge to pull that shit off.

Anways,
"I'm fine, why do you ask?" I responded quietly. I didn't mean to sound so quiet but you know, it happened.
"Because you were mumbling. Just like you were during the movie.
I just wanted to know if everything was alright."

"You know you day that word a lot.
Alright..
But I'm fine Evan, really."
I smiled.
That's all I did.
Then it hit me I needed to tell him the truth.
"Someday I'll get the courage to ask you out on a real date.
Where I can treat you like you're suppose to be treated.
Like royalty.."

Evan just stood there and stared at me.
I knew he was thinking of something but you know, I can't fucking read minds.
"Luke..I appreciate the stuff you do already.
Like..tonight I had fun."
Then he laughed.

This laugh was different from the one you hear in videos.
It wasn't outrageous..but..soft and quiet.
Evan had an adorable laugh behind closed doors.

"Ev.."
I grabbed his hand gently and lifted it between us.
"I know you had fun.
But I wanna try harder not because I want to impress you but for the fact that you deserve it.
You deserve a lot, and you know sometimes I don't get the opportunity to show or tell you.
But..
I love you..
And just gimme the chance to prove it to you."
My words were quiet when I said the truth.
I didn't mean to be quiet but I was.
He made me nervous and it was okay because he enjoyed tonight.

"I love you too Luke..
And you don't need to go out of your way to show it to me.
I can tell just by the little things."
And with that, we kissed.

I loved every second of it.
I love him in general.
So I made a promise to myself that night.
Someday I'm gonna marry him and show him how much he really means to me.
