Chapter 12

"This is the one she was just wearing?" Scott asked Stiles. They were in the front seat of the jeep while I was in the back. 

Lydia went missing from the hospital not too long ago. Scott heard her scream from Allison's house and I heard her scream while visiting Derek at his new loft. Actually I was taking in some of my stuff. I'm moving back in with him. 

"I'm not going to let anyone hurt her. Not again." Scott assured Stiles.

"Alright, just shove the thing in your face and let's find her." Stiles told Scott while turning on the jeep. When the headlights turned on, Allison was walking towards the jeep. She walked over to Scott.

"Allison, what are you doing? Someone's going to see us." Scott asked her. 

"I don't care- she is my best friend and we need to find her before they do." Allison said.

"I can find her before the cops can." Scott assured. Scott, I'm pretty sure that for once it's not the cops we're worried about getting involved.

"How about before my father does?" Allison asked.

"He knows?" Stiles asked.

"Yeah, I just saw him and three other guys leave my house in two SUVs." Allison told us.

"Search party." Scott said.

"It's more like a hunting party." I corrected.

"Get in." Scott said opening the door for her. She climbed over Scott and the middle of the front to be back with me. 

"Ow, that was my side." I say as she accidentally elbows my side. She mutters an apology. "Allison, move over ,you're practically on my lap." She was trying to get on her side and elbowed me again. "Ow." Was all I said. 

"Oh, my god. I'm so sorry Jess!" Allison exclaimed.

"What happened this time?" Stiles asked.

"Oh, it's nothing just got elbowed in the face. I think I have a fat lip now." I saw casually.

"I'm so sorry ,Jess." Allison apologized again.

"Allison, it's fine." I reassure her. She sighed in relief like she thought I was going to rip her throat out for that.

"Alright, if she's turning, will they actually kill her?" Stiles asked.

"I don't know. They won't tell me. Okay, all they say is that we'll talk after Kate's funeral ,when the others get here." Allison answered.

"What others?" Stiles asked Allison.

"I don't know. They won't tell me that either." She answered him.

"Okay, your family's got some serious communication issues to work on." Stiles told her. "Scott! Are we going the right way?!" Stiles called to Scott. I almost laughed at Scott sticking his head out the window.

"Take the next right!" I heard Scott call. Stiles took a sharp right turn. Allison toppled over so she was across my lap. 

"Am I so irresistible that even you are trying to get with me?" I joked.

"Yup, totally." She plays along.

"She came here? You're sure?" Stiles asked Scott. We had just walked up to my old house. 

"This is where the scent leads." Scott told him. We walked forward a few steps before Stiles stopped.

"Alright, but has Lydia ever been here?" Stiles asked.
