Chapter 33

"So when did you get there?" Agent McCall asked Stiles. We were at the police station getting question. By we, I mean Scott, Kira, Lydia, Stiles, and I.

"At the same time." Stiles answered.

"At the same time as who." Agent McCall asked.

"Same time as me." Scott spoke up. 

"And me." I added.

"By coincidence?"

"What do you mean coincidence?" Stiles asked.

"That's what I'm asking you. The three of you arrived at the same time. Was that coincidence?"

"Are you asking me?" Scott asked.

"I think he's asking me." Stiles said. I just smirked at the annoyed look on Agent McCall's face.

"I think he's asking both of you." Lydia stated.

"Okay, let me answer the questions... let me ask the questions. Just so I have this absolutely clear. Burrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the board telling him to kill Kira. Then Burrow took Kira to the power substation, and tied her up with the intent of electrocuting her, which blacked out the entire town." Agent McCall said.

"Sounds about right." Stiles commented.

"How'd you know he'd take her to a power station?" 

"Well, 'cause he was an electrical engineer. So where else would he take her?" Stiles said.

"That's one hell of a deduction ,Stiles." 

"Yeah, what can I say? I take after my pops. He's in law enforcement." Stiles winked at his dad. Sheriff Stilinski laughed a little bit. That's what broke me. I busted up laughing. Sheriff Stilinski tried to play off his laugh as a cough.

"Stiles just answer the man. And Jess, stop laughing." Sheriff told us. I nodded and tried to contain my laughter. It took me a minute.

"Sorry, sorry, go ahead." I said once I calmed down. I still had a smile playing on my lips. 

"We made a good guess." Stiles told him.

"What were the two of you doing?" Agent McCall asked looking over at Kira and Scott.

"Eating pizza" "Eating sushi"

The two looked at each other.

"Eating sushi." "Eating pizza."

"Eating sushi and pizza." They said in unison. I almost laughed again. 

"Do you believe any of this?" Agent McCall asked Sheriff Stilinski. 

"To be honest, I haven't believed anything Stiles has said since he learned how to speak. But I think these kids found themselves in the right place at the right time and that girl sitting there is very lucky for it." Sheriff Stilinski said.

"Kira, is that how you remember it?" Agent McCall asked. Stiles, Scott, Lydia, and I all leaned forward a bit. She looked between us.

"Yes." She said once she looked back at Agent McCall. "Could I get my phone back now?"

"Sorry ,but no."

I went to my room after getting home from school. It was halloween and Danny was having a party. Typically for Halloween I'd just turn and use that as my costume. I got a lot of compliments on my makeup skills. I'm not doing that tonight. Tonight, I'm going to Danny's party.
