Another Hale

Chapter 20

There was a knock on the doorframe of my room ,since my door was open. I looked over to see Erica and Boyd. I waved them in. Erica sat down on the beanbag seat I had in my room while Boyd sat on the edge of my bed. I turned away from my computer to face them.

"Yes?" I asked ,not knowing why they were here. They gave me a look so I knew why. "You've decided?"

"Yeah." Erica told me. 

"We're leaving." Boyd told me. I nodded. 

"Have you told Derek?" I asked.

"Yeah, he gave us a lecture about not being able to survive as lone wolves." Erica told me.

"He's just trying to give you advice. He may seem harsh but he does try to help."

"He's not very good at it. But we think we found another pack?" Boyd told me.

"In Beacon Hills?" I asked straightening up. Is it them?

"Yeah." Erica smiled. 

"When are you leaving?" I asked.

"Tonight." Boyd answered.

"Okay, I'll walk you guys out ,like out of town." I tell them.

"You don't have to." Boyd told me. 

Yes, I do.

"I want to." I sent them a smile. 

"Okay, you'll walk us out and we can say goodbye there." Erica smiled at me. 

"I'm going to pack." Boyd said getting up and walking out.

"I'm going to get ready too." Erica told me. 

"Okay, text me when you're ready." I tell them.

"We're meeting up here ,so we'll just walk up to get you." Erica said before leaving.

Erica and Boyd were downstairs. I could hear them. I walked down. When I got down there, Isaac was walking in too.

"Hey, Isaac, are you going?" I asked. I really hoped he didn't. He was a good friend of mine now.

"I'm going to stay put." Isaac told me. I walked over and hugged him.

"Thank you." I told him. He hugged me back tightly.

"No problem... Okay, I got a game to get to."

"I'm going to walk them out then I'll try to make it back for part of the game. Kick their asses for me!" I called as he walked out the door. I heard him laugh. "Are you guys ready?" I asked the other two betas.

"Yeah, let's go." Erica said. We all walked out. We walked to the reserve ,it would be easier to get out. 

Eventually we heard the howling. I followed them towards it just in case. Then I saw the headlights. Erica looked confused when I suddenly started shoving her to the side and even more confused more Boyd started pulling her in the direction I was pushing her ,trying to help get us out of there. The ATVs we heard and saw stopped near the tree we hid behind. Then Erica got when we were not going the same way as before. 

"Play it again." I heard Chris say. I heard a button click then howling. Then the ATVs drove off.

I don't know how it happened but we ended up in front of the hunters again. They were chasing us on their ATVs. I knew I could run faster than the other two but I was keeping them in front of me so I knew if they were okay. The ATVs were gaining on us though and a part of me ,the survival part, wanted to run ahead because I knew I could get out of there especially when they would have to stop for Boyd and Erica. I wasn't listening to that part though.
