Another Hale

Chapter 23

The door opened. Scott ran in. "I know where they are." He said. 

He seemed shocked to find us all. Peter ,Cora ,Boyd ,Derek ,and I were all making a plan. I wasn't alone in wanting to end this quickly. I was ,however, not talking to someone that I'm suppose to be working with ,Peter. He tried to kill us ,even me ,his daughter. I'm not letting it go anytime soon either.

"Same building as the Argents. We know." Derek told him. 

"Cora and I followed the twins." Boyd told Scott.

"Then they want you to know." Scott said.

"Or ,more likely, they don't care." Peter told Scott.

" What is this?" Scott asked looking at the papers in front of us as he walked up to the table.

"Isn't it obvious? The schemers are scheming, coming up with a coup de main ,better known as a pre-emptive strike." Peter told him.

"You're going after them?" Scott asked.

"No, we're going to go sit down and have a lovely dinner with them." I say sarcastically. Scott sent me a funny look. I just shrugged.

"Tomorrow. And you're going to help us." Derek said ,ignoring me.

"They're one floor above them in the penthouse ,right above Allison." Derek said.

"So, kill them first? That's the plan?" Scott asked.

"They won't even see it coming." Boyd told him.

"Why is the default plan always murder? Just once, can someone try to come up with something that doesn't involve killing everyone?" Scott asked.

"You never get tired of being so blandly moral ,do you?" Peter asked. Then he looked at Derek. "Not that I disagree with him." 

"I do." Cora stated. "Why do we need this kid?"

"This kid helped save your life. And you know we can't just sit back and wait for them to make the first move." Derek said.

"You can't beat a pack of alphas." Scott told him. 

"That's why we're going after Deucalion ,just him." Cora told Scott.

"You cut off the head of the snake and the body dies." Boyd told Scott.

"Only this isn't a snake ,it's a hydra. And like Scott says ,they're all alphas." Peter said.

"Deucalion's still the leader." Derek told him. 

"Let's hope so. Because you know what happened when Hercules cut off one of the heads of the Hydra?" Peter asked.

"Two more grew back in it's place." Scott and I answer simultaneously.

"Someone's been doing their summer reading." Peter said to Scott. He knew I knew Greek mythology ,that's how he knew it. As a kid he use to read different stories from Greek mythology because I all but begged him to. 

Let's just say I was a geek for Greek (Mythology). No? No? Okay.

"You didn't come alone." Deucalion stated. Scott was trying to just talk to Deucalion ,he brought Isaac with him. He just didn't know that Derek ,Boyd ,Cora ,and I were there. 

"Yeah. This is Isaac." Scott told Deucalion.

"I wasn't talking about Isaac." Deucalion said. That ,of course, was the moment Derek chose to make our presence known ,he is a drama queen that loves making a dramatic entrance.
