Eternity Is Mine

Chapter Five

Jacob's POV

   I tried to think of the descriptions my father had give me on the Cold Ones and soon found out who this girl was. I growled. The people in the car jumped out and crouched into an attacking position. Isabella stayed as she was, which made me straighten. I thought of her as the threat, yet her companions were the ones prepared for harming me. That's when I noticed it. 

   There was another from when the first five had been caught hunting on our land. She was angry I had threatened Isabella. Her blond hair was in waves down her back. Her golden eyes met with Isabella's. Rosalie. I couldn't take my eyes off her. She was beautiful. No. I imprinted on...a bloodsucker. 

   "Bella. Pleased to meet you," Isabella introduced herself. I almost smiled at her emphasized lack of appreciation. But I didn't. I walked over to Rosalie and everyone else gathered in. "I imprinted on you," I whispered. Of course, everyone heard me. There was a silence, then chaos. 

   Bella and Rosalie calmed the others down. I didn't like how the honey blond vamp glared at me or how the big, curly haired parasite had clenched his fists. He was trying to launch himself at me. Bella walked up to me, after arguing with her inky haired pixie of a sister of how I was not dangerous, and did a gentleman's bow. "Friendly welcoming, don't you agree? Sorry to disappoint. I'm not the typical 'Miss Dracula' you're looking for, Jacob," Bella said smartly. The dark haired boy snickered, but then caught himself. He was also from the first five. I suspected he was Rosalie's mate, but I couldn't care less. I wanted her, no, needed her. 

   "So its true then? Wow I am watching too many horror movies, just like Dad said," I mused, thinking I was dreaming the weirdest dream ever. The pixie girl chuckled. Rosalie couldn't help but scoot closer to me, but then shook her head as if having a battle in her mind, and scuttled away. 

   "Why is it that whenever we come across your kind, I can't see your future? Ugh, I'm leaving," the girl muttered, jumping into the driver's seat. She honked the horn like your grandparent would. The all blond bloodsucker sighed and oulled himself into the passenger seat. Almost instantly, the big boy, Rosalie, and Bella made their way to the car. "Sorry, Jake! Hopefully, we'll see each other again soon!" Bella called as the car dashed away. Jake? I didn't tell her that people call me Jake. I didn't dwell on it too much. All I knew was that I needed to find my Rosalie. 

Edward's POV

   Back at home, I was bored out of my mind. After much thought, I decided to go for a walk in the woods behind our house. I was glad that I already completed my homework. "Dad, I'm going for a little walk, be back soon!" I yelled as I strode out the front door. Everything was too green out here. The trees, the grass, some of the house, the leaves. It disgusted me. 

   Deeper into the woods, I didn't pay much attention to my surroundings. I was lost in thought. The beautiful Cullens had mesmerized me. I kept a mental image of Bella's face in my mind so I wouldn't forget over the course of the evening. 

   Suddenly, I heard a deep growling. I glanced up. A large black bear was in front of me, his claws (or whatever they are, I'm not a bear person) outstretched. I was suddenly quaking with fear and flailed backward. The bear moved forward and as he was moving towards my face, he scratched a long bloody line up my arm. I started to shout for help as the animal closed in on me. I heard light footsteps and suddenly, the bear flew backwards, away from me. In doing so, though, his talons* scraped my stomach. I screamed in agony as warm wetness spread through me. A figure bent over the bear and oddly, looked like they were drinking its blood. Then the figure stood up and knelt by my side. Bella Cullen.

   "How did you find me?" I stuttered as Bella ripped off my shirt and looked, horrified, at my bleeding tummy. Bella bit her lip. "Heard you yelling," she said. She took in a deep breath and stiffened. She ripped off a sleeve of my shirt and wrapped it around my arm's cut. Then she tied the rest of my shirt around my stomach. She grinned sadly at me and then scooped me up into her ice cold arms. 

   I started to squirm, but Bella was really quite strong. "Where are you taking me?" I demanded. Bella smiled evilly. "Hospital," she replied. "It's unnecessary. Put me down!" I cried. Bella thought for a moment. Then she leaned down and kissed me on my cheek. Her sweet soft lips brushed against my nose as she lifted her head. My vision blurred, my head spun, and with all the internal commotion going on, I passed out. 

Emmett's POV

   I couldn't believe that that mutt imprinted on my girl! Rose and I sat in the living room, Rose trying to soothe me. "Babe, it's okay. I don't choose him. I just will always be a little attracted to him, that's all," Rosalie told me. But in her head I could see it pained her. Those few seconds with the dog had been pure bliss for her. Well, I wouldn't stand for it. 

   "C'mon Rosie, you have been with me for forever, please don't give up on me now. You know I would do anything for you. I'd give you the world, the moon, the stars, just if you continued to love me back. I know the imprint is going to change our relationship, but it's still you and me, baby. Remember when I told you that if I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together? Its still like that. Or at least, I hope it is. Come back to me, Rosie, please! Please don't leave me!" I was sobbing invisible tears as I got down on one knee. I had been saving this for next month, but it could not wait. I opened up the small box in my hand. The diamond ring glistened. 

   "Will you, Rosalie Cullen, do me the extravagant honor of becoming my wife again?" I asked, my eyes wide with pleading. Rosalie held up one finger. I nodded. I could be patient for a few seconds. Rosalie put her hands on her head, trying to think. Finally, she lifted her eyes, which were shimmering with joy. "Yes."

*I don't know much about bears, so I couldn't tell you if they had talons or not. Sorry for lack of info*
