He said goodbye.
He slammed the door.
He left me sobbing in the rain.
He let me down, he let me drown.
He was pain. He didn't care. He moved to her.
My heart was broken.
I thought it would never mend.
My mind cried out for it to end.
Then I saw you. And I thought, maybe, you saw me.
We talked. I let you in my walls of steel.
And then my heart was yours, for real.
I trust you. Love you beyond compare.
Darling, don't leave me. Don't you even dare.
But then you did, left me just. Like. Him.
Fine. I cried. And never again will I let anyone in.
I made the same mistake. A toll to high to pay.
