Masks

I wear a mask

So you can't see

Who is truly me

I can't face

The ridicule that comes

From removing my mask

I cant take

The teasing that comes

From showing my face

So I wear a mask

Keep all emotion locked away

Dont let me shine

Keep me secret, keep me safe

But some people

They see the mask away

They see me.

Imperfect, crazy, free

I trust them

And they trust me

And take my mask away

I am comfortable

I am safe

I feel loved

And there

Is no

Pain

But still

Its only sometimes

The mask goes away
