Chapter 19. New Roomate, Old Friend

"Ayano! We're home!" Nemesis yelled while taking her shoes off.

Oka looked around. "Ayano!?"

She noticed a note on the kitchen counter and read it aloud.

"'Oka and Nemesis, Info-chan needed some help so I went over her to her place. I'll be back home soon. I made some tempura. If you'd like, it's in the Tupperware next to the microwave. I love you, Oka. And Nemesis... not so much. Love, Ayano.' Tempura? Yum!" Oka grabbed the Tupperware and started eating.

Nemesis grabbed one and moaned. "Damn, this is good."

After eating it all (there was a lot), Ayano arrived with Info-chan following behind with a backpack and a suitcase.

"Guys, Info-chan is moving in." Ayano said and walked over to Oka, wrapping her arms around the short girl's neck.

"Hi, Oka... Nemesis." Info-chan shifted.

"Hey, Info-chan." Oka smiled and waved.

Nemesis managed a small wave before racing up the stairs.

"I just realized... where's Nemesis sleeping? Adding on to that, Info-chan needs a room too." Oka pointed out.

"Nemesis stays in the attic. And Info-chan, you might have to stay in the basement, unless you know how to pick lock my parents' room." Ayano stated.

"I'll take your parents' rooms. Your basement is sketchy." She raced up the stairs.

"That's tru- Hold up. How do you know what my basement looks like!?" Ayano raced up the stairs, leaving Oka giggling at the foot of the steps.

The doorbell rung.

"I'll get it!" Oka shouted and opened the door, revealing a dear friend of her's that she hasn't seen in a while.

"Mirei? Is that you?" Oka gasped.

"What do you think, Ruto?" Mirei asked with an enthusiastic smile.

"Who is it?" Ayano raced down the steps.

Ayano approached the door and looked over at the girl at the door suspiciously. She didn't look like she was cautious, but she was.

"Ayano, this is my good friend, Mirei. We knew each other ever since I turned 2. We haven't seen each other since middle school." Oka explained.

Ayano looked at the girl. Her hair was periwinkle and she had glasses that was almost like Info-chan's but it wasn't red.

Ayano smiled and introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Ayano. Oka's girlfriend."

"Nice to meet you, Ayano. Remember that I lived in Shinjuku, Oka? Well, now I live here and I live across the street." Mirei announced.

"So you're attending Akedemi High School?" Oka asked hopefully.

"I'm attending Akedemi High School and I-"

"Mirei! Help me with unpack!" A male voice called for her.

"Coming, Dad! I best be going. It was nice seeing you again, Oka. See you at school." Mirei waved and ran over to her dad.

"She seems nice." A voice said from behind them. It was Info-chan.

"She's my replacement. A nicer me." Info-chan said glumly.

"What are you talking about?" Ayano raised an eyebrow.

"She has the same hairstyle as me. She has glasses like me. Those boxes outside her house are labeled 'Mirei's Computer Equipment'. She's gonna take over my Info Club." Info-chan glared at the house next door through the window.

"Info-chan... Chill." Ayano smiled nervously.

"Whatever. I unlocked your parents' room. I'm going to sleep." Info-chan grimly walked up the stairs as Oka shook her head.

"She can be so oblivious. And she knows almost everything." Oka commented.

"I couldn't agree more."
