The group of fatal alius around us went silent. As if savoring the moment that all of us were painted with fear on our face. We're about to be crushed by hundreds of alius from Bartsville. This is the end... Death is few meters waiting upon us.

I ran my chains all over keeping few meters to make sure no one can go near our circle. I gritted my teeth for the uncounted times. We would not be hunted down like a deer among wolves. I won't let it. I will find a way out of this. No one's going to die. Not anymore--

A sound of a crushing brush around us. One giant alius who was turned back to life by the anastasis toppled back at us while four of the same size whirled in random.

"Super sized alius! Incoming!" napasigaw si Allen nang mapansin nito ang mabilis na paghakbang ng limang higante palapit. Dudurugin kami ng mga ito ng buhay. Wala na kaming kawala!

Levi moved forward after he threw a warning gaze at me. "Duck down!" malakas nitong sabi bago ko naramdaman ang malakas na pwersang bumalot sa katawan ng lalaki. Debris gathered around Levi as if an energy in circular motion was around him.

Nakayuko kaming lahat sa lupa maliban kay Levi na binalot ng malakas na pwersa. Kagaya ng nangyari sa enerhiya at lakas nito noong magharap sila ni Alec. Pero tila mas nadoble ang lakas no'n kumpara sa dati. Hindi kaya dahil mas kontrolado niya ang kakayahan niya noong huli? Levi was covered by long circular layers of electric ribbons. He gave another warning stare -a massive force is yet to be released- his heart whispered to me.

Dark clouds gathered few miles atop Levi. The strong circular force might have collected all forces in the air for his rogue attack. Makalipas ang ilang segundo ay napansin ko ang pagtayo ni Alec sa mula sa likuran ni Levi. The guy did not bother to glance at me. Maybe he's afraid that might stop him from whatever he was planning to do. I might have had if not for Charles who was so determined to tell me what to do.

"Alec!" hindi ko napigilang isigaw nang magsimulang tumubo ang mga clones nito sa paligid. He looked at me over his shoulder and there, I met his wary eyes. Nagsimulang maging kamukha ni Levi ang siyam nitong clones. My tiny chest cannot contain the huge emotions I had seeing the two guys bargain against fate.

Binalot ang siyam na clones ni Alec ng malakas ding pwersa. Dark ribbons circled the nine them as if duplicating Levi's rogue attack. Halos hindi ko na maimulat nag mga mata ko dahil sa sobrang lakas ng enerhiyang nakabalot sa kanila. Levi would not want me to proceed to plan B and turn rogue and so seemed Alec. The would spill all the energy, all the blood, all the flesh they carry just to save us.

"Brittany, please cover!" I heard Levi screamed in the middle of his rogue. He spread his arms sideways and the huge ribbons containing electric shreds began to spread out.

Sumabay si Alec at ang mga clones nito. They both screamed as the surrounding turned blurry until I could no longer see anything--nothing but a massive collective electric ribbons spread everywhere. The earth beneath me moved. A total earthquake that trembled my guts. It's like chaos has conquered the world and the only remaining place where peace at is where we stayed curled and blinded.

"Multiple paradox attack," narinig kong bumubulong si Charles mula sa aking likuran. "This won't work. This isn't supposed to be."

There was a loud siren that lingered in my eardrums as the paradox attack stopped. Isang nakakabinging katahimikan ang sumakop sa paligid. Everywhere was a blur of dust and sand. Wala kaming makita. Umiiyak na sa takot sina Zia at Brit at naririnig ko na rin ang hikbi ni Sheryl. Nasaan na ang mga kalaban? Nasaan na sina Levi at Alec?
