Scenario number twenty-two

Special Characters: Xenia, Principal Benjamin, Mr. Wells, Mrs. Wells, Alexa, Mrs. Howells, Eleanor.

"Finally!" Xenia exclaims, tired. She just finished cleaning the girls' bathroom, and is about to rest when she sees Wade, who's heading to the library.

Xenia secretly follows him and notices Wade flinching, immediately leaving after closing the door of the library when he sees Jenny Anderson, reading a book beside Gemma Sminters.

Why is Gemma with Jenny? I thought May and Gemma are supposed to be the ones hanging out together? Will Jenny and Wade ever talk again?

"High school is so complicated." Xenia whispers to herself.

Suddenly she sees an attractive boy talking to Tina Hartley with a genuine look on his face. He looks like an adult, and the way Tina looks at him makes it seem like the man she's talking to is one of the most gorgeous men she has ever seen.

Xenia also spots AJ Howard talking to Aiden Hunger, staring at Tina, nonstop.

This school's just getting weird....

"Umm, excuse me?" Eleanor Rogers squeaks, interrupting Xenia's thoughts. "Do you happen to know why Harry isn't around?"

Xenia shakes her head as her response. As soon as Eleanor leaves, she leans on the wall anxiously. What's going on? Rogers looking for Morris?

Her thoughts get interrupted when she sees John, May and Darren. May and John are chatting while Darren looks so... sad.

Hmmm....

Xenia gets more anxious when she sees Alvin Carter pressing his lips against Gemma Sminters as soon as she steps out of the library.

Isn't Alvin May's ex boyfriend? What is he doing with Gemma?

"THAT'S IT!!" Xenia yells, "THIS IS INSANE!"

I bet the next thing that's going to happen is—

"Excuse me, is Principal Benjamin in his office?" Alexa Howells asks, trying to sound polite.

Xenia's nostrils flare."You can't! Principal Benjamin is off limits! He's not available! He's not into female students!"

Alexa scratches her skull. "What do you mean?"

"Sheesh! Kids and their crushes!" Xenia grunts, running away. "I'm going to get to the bottom of this."

"Ah... I see.... thank you for informing me, Mr. Morris." Principal Benjamin puts down his phone and sighs, what a tiring day.

*knock knock*

"Come in." He groans, ugh. More students.

"Good afternoon, Principal Benjamin." Mrs. Wells greets with a warm smile.

Principal Benjamin immediately sits up straight, trying to act and look professional. "Mr. Wells! Mrs. Wells! What can I do for you? I'm so excited to see your son come back tomorrow." Hell nah, all I care about is Matthew.

"He's not coming back, Principal Benjamin." Mr. Wells sighs.

Principal Benjamin pauses. "What do you mean? Finals is next week--" please don't tell me they're also going to drop their son out of school like what Mr. Morris did.

"He can't come..." Mrs. Wells clears her throat, then she begins sobbing.

Alexa sees Mr. and Mrs. Wells having a serious conversation with Principal Benjamin. She opens the door and—

"George is in a coma... we don't know when he'll wake up... he can't come back.." Mrs. Wells cries.

Alexa's heart drops, "he is!?"

"Miss Howells! Why are you here!? This is personal!" Principal Benjamin scolds Alexa with a what-the-hell look on his face.

Alexa begins to sob with realization. "Why didn't you tell me!? I had the right to know--"

Mr. and Mrs. Wells' eyes widen when they meet Alexa's watery eyes. They turn pale, as if they have just seen a ghost. "We didn't want you to get distracted for the finals—"

"I don't care about the damn finals!" Alexa screams, getting out of the room.

Alexa runs to her apartment and begins to cry, ditching class. "Who cares about school? The boy who makes me happy is in a coma.... why the fuck should I even care about the finals?"

After hours of crying, Alexa makes a phone call.

"Hello mom?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

........

"Mom, it's about time."

......

"George... he's in a coma... I... we..... we promised each other that we'd tell them about it...."

"I'm going to do it! George and I can't keep hiding..."

.....

"I don't care! Wait for me, I'm coming. Whether you like it or not."

"I know."

"Whatever, Mom! Just get him ready, I'm coming."
