I Need To Go

Both Kristen and Lindsey's head shot up to look at her, as she said her statement, Kristen out of concern and Lindsey out of panic

"Okay honey, what about?" Kristen asked

"You know that I love William and I'd never hurt you, but something has come up with the the band and I have to leave tonight..."

"Stevie! You can't miss his christening!" She said tearfully

"I know Kit! You know that I wouldn't do this if it was not important!" Stevie pled, she had decided at the last second not to let Kristen know about the affair

"Let her go kit, she obviously doesn't care about Will anyway" Lindsey snarled

"I do. I love him!"

"I'll never forgive you for this!" Kristen said and walked out the room

Stevie looked at Lindsey and walked out following her sister, "Kit!"

"What?"

"Forgive me, please."

"What's the real reason? I know you'd never chose a band over us!"

"I can't tell you," Stevie sniffled, shaking her head

"Why?"

"Kit...just please trust that I can't."

Stevie felt two hands on her shoulders

"It's because she and I don't get on...I'm making her stay awkward"

"Lindsey I thought that you were working on that?"

"I'm trying kit, okay, it's hard for me"

"Why is it so hard for you two to get along?!"

"I'm struggling with feelings towards her..."

"What feelings?"

"To like her" He lied, Stevie knew it was to not like her

"I will not lose my sister over you."

"Look...I'll take her out today okay? We can spend some time together and talk things out properly, is that alright?"

"As long as you promise not to kill each other."

"I promise we won't"

Kristen nodded, "The christening is in the morning so he home before dark."

She turned and walked away, Stevie turned under Lindsey's hands to face him

"Thank you..." Stevie smiled

"For what?"

"Covering my ass."

"Well there's a lot of people I don't want to hurt here"

She nodded, "Now let's go spend time together."

Lindsey wanted to scold her and tell her not to get excited, but he just left it

A short while later they were sitting next to each other in the car

"Let's get a hotel room. I'll pay for it," Stevie pled

"Oh my god, Stevie" he sighed

"What?" She was clearly confused, "Don't you want me?"

"What do you think?" He placed her hand briefly on himself

"Just tell me baby, motel or hotel?" She smirked

"Motels feel seedy..." he said glancing at her

"Mmhm, so find the finest hotel in Phoenix and we'll spend all day there..."
