Chapter Twenty Five

Danielle's P.O.V

The car ride home was awkward. None of us said a word to each other but I was okay with that. On the other hand, Cole wasn't and I could see that on his face.

He wanted to say something but he didn't and I knew why. He didn't want to ruin anything so he just kept quiet. He knew I was angry so he just left me alone which I appreciated very much.

Now, I am sitting at the table, looking at the phone in my hands while Cole went to go shower. My fingers hover over Maya's name, wanting to apologize for the way I acted but a knock on the door stops me from doing so.

I sigh, running my hands through my hair. "Who is it!" I shout, hoping to get an answer even though I'm not at the front door. When I hear nothing, I let out another sigh. I stand up and begin to walk out of the kitchen and into the living room, making my way towards the door.

As I begin to unlock the door, I can't help but saying, "I said who is-" My words get cut off when I look at the person in front of me.

"Is Cole here?" A blonde girl asks and I narrow my eyes at the girl.

"Why does it matter to you? I'm not allowing you to come and have sex in my house so run along now." I say, about to close the door until I hear a sharp intake of breath behind me.

"Hailey?"

I look behind me and stare at Cole who has a towel hanging dangerously low on his hips. His hair is sticking to his forehead and his amazing abs are on show.

I look between the two and furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "Am I missing something?" I ask and Hailey laughs.

"If Cole hasn't told you who I am, then yes, you are missing something." Hailey says and something about her tone makes me clench my fists.

Uptight...

Blonde...

Knows Cole...

You have to be fucking kidding me!

"Cole," I say, turning to him slowly. "Who the fuck is this?" I ask, pointing my hand at Hailey who is wearing a grin on her face. Cole sighs, running a hand down his face.

"Danielle, meet Hailey... my ex girlfriend."
