CHRIS' POV

My alarm went off at 0320 hours because we need to be at the base by 0400 hours for Jane's morning Jog cause I can skip that but not her – as if im going to ditch it. After 15 minutes im all prepped but wondering why there isn't any movement coming from Jane's room. I peaked inside her room and was greeted by an empty bed. I scurried inside checked the walk in closet and the bathroom to find no one. on the inside im starting to panic but still trying to calm my nerves cause I know better than to panic. I called Max to check if she's in the base, she isn't. I was about to call her mom when the door opened and Jane stepped inside in a blink of an eye I held her in my arms as if she'll vanish if I let her go til I felt her tap my back

"oh im sorry, I thought you're gone." I told her as I held her face. She stared at me shocked then there's something else I saw in her eyes but cant name it. Im just thankful she's here.

"where have you been?"

"sorry if I got you worried but I went out for a walk when I couldn't sleep. I'll just take a quick shower then we can leave we don't wanna be late and be punished oh I I should say." She said then faked a smile then head to her room

I know its happening really fast but as they say It only takes 4 minutes to fall in love. I cant say that im in love but what I told her team was the truth.

We made it to the camp 5 minutes before 0400 hours. Her class was a meters away from Max and I while the the rest of the instructors where in between.

"what happened dude?" Max asked

"I thought she's gone, when I woke up she isn't in her bedroom and didn't left a note. So I panicked then called you." I told Max

"man, you're whipped. I haven't seen you like this since ive known you. You never cared for anyone like this but her." Max seriously respond

"I don't know man all I know is that I deeply care for her and for a bit scared to death that she has left me." I admitted

"does she know man?"

"yeah, her team and I had a "talk" you know how a brother threatens his sister's boyfriend talk and I told them that I really like her and deeply cares for her, with her by my side."

"what did she say?"

"nothing." I answered the sigh of defeat

"that's hard man. quite a mess but just woo her dude and doo everything to win her heart." Max said as he taps my shoulder

"and that's what I intend to do, man."

The days went uneventful. Jane's still joining Max and I for lunch as if nothing has changed but if you'll look closely she isn't the same Jane like the 1st time she arrived here. She smiles but it doesn't reaches her eyes, she no longer tell stories animatedly, she laughs but just for the sake of laughing but I can tell that she's still focused on the training cause after 3 months we had a deliberation and she's top 2 of the class next to Castro.

Tomorrow training outside the classrooms commence. It'll gauge their strengths, agility, performance, endurance etc.

It's a training just like what we SEAL's undergo, this is the part where we see soldiers quit. I fear Jane's body wont survive cause I know she's strong willed but she's not been eating a lot unlike a month ago and the bags under her eyes man its like your luggage when you intend to go on a vacation for a year – yeah that big = but hers are shadows it looks like a black eye.

After I went for a jog, I made breakfast – pancakes, bacon, egg then I made fried rice.

I was setting the plate when I felt her presence, she's wearing a white tee and a boxer shorts – with pink star fish wearing a green shorts – her bed hair is amazingly cute. I didn't know she wears glasses cause she's wearing one a dark rimmed glasses that screams NERD.

It never felt awkward since then just less interactions.

"did you prepare all of these?" she asked smiling – oh how ive missed that

"yeah, c'mon lets eat then we could go surfing or -? I paused then she looked at me raising her brow "..shoppping?" I continued

"oh are you kidding me? SURFING it is!" she said and I laughed she did too

"oh im stuffed, thanks for breakfast Grey. I owe you one" She said while rubbing her belly

"I'll collect. Now go prepare we'll leave in 30 because we still have to get ourselves a surf board." I said as I gather the plates but she tapped my hand saying

"na uh ah you cooked so I'll do the dishes." I was about to protest but she gave a look I wont dare defy during Sundays our house aids are out, its their day off.

After getting a surf board we head straight to the beach which has many patrons but not surprising cause its Sunday.

"have you surfed before?' I asked her

"once or twice but that's it. So this early im letting you know I might suck at this." She told me as she head for the restroom to change.

I was by the shore with our board when I came across a fellow soldier.

"Captain Grey, how are you?" Lt. Smith said I was with him on my 1st tour.

"Great, and you?" I replied

"on RnR, I heard you're engaged. Who's the lucky girl?"

"that I am –" but was cut of when Jane arrived. She was wearing a rash guard though its black it hugged her body like a second skin but the shorts not that tight just snug but its dangerously high just a few inches below her ass and man don't get me started with her ass because her legs are killing me now

"You must be the captain's fiancé? Im Smith" Lt. Smith extended his hand for Jane to shake

"Yes Sir, I am. Jane." She replied and shook his hand

"I can see why, he chose you." Lt Smith and smile mischievously "I'll get going nice to meet you soon to be Mrs. Grey." Then he left but Jane's red as a tomato

"im starting to love blushing Jane." Smiling I left her but she followed suit.
