Chapter Nine

The castle was amazing. Every floor was something different, every door held a new surprise. Everything you could imagine was here, there were movie theaters, libraries, swimming pools, the list goes on and on and on. 

Aidon and I were sitting in the kitchen eating lunch. "So," i started turning on the barstool to face him. "where are we in comparison to ya know Earth?" 

"Somewhere under California is my best guess," Aidon said. He wiped his mouth with a napkin tossing it away with one shot. "It's a little wonky sometimes." 

"Oh so we traveled through the Hollywood sign?" 

He looked at me with his head cocked to the side, a smirk on his lips. "Now you're doing it on purpose." I smirked. "Is that all you do? Read and work?" 

"Yeah and avoid my brother." 

"That sounds familiar." I rolled my eyes at him standing up to clear away the plates. "You don't have to do that, there are maids here that take care of it." 

I shrugged. "It's not a big deal, I want to." I cleaned up the plates and put them back in their places. I had just sat back down when my phone started going off. 

"How do I have service?" i asked looking at it. 

"It's the Underworld not the Sahara Desert." I rolled my eyes and answered it with a happy smile. 

"We have a problem," Alyx yelled into the phone. The smile faded from my lips and my heart skipped. She sounded in a panic and Alyx never panics. 

"How big of a problem?" Aidon looked at me in concern unsure of what was going on. 

"Major like level ten problem like call Donny level problem." That wasn't a good sign. 

"What do you need me to do?" 

"Are you home?" 

"I can be," i said, I pulled the phone from my mouth and looked at Aidon. "I might need to go home, quickly." Aidon nodded but still looked confused. 

"Fun fact Trevor decided that now was the time that him and child services were going to come by the house." 

"Oh fuck." 

"Ya think!" 

"Are you gonna make it in time?" 

"I'll be there within the hour, dad pulled some strings." That made me feel a little better about this, "I need the house cleaned and everything ASAP they'll be there soon." 

"We'll take care of it just focus on getting home safetly." 

"I don't know if I can do this Lenna." 

"Hey now stop that. She's your baby sister, we've been waiting for this for months. We're ready, I'll help you figure this out." 

"Okay," she breathed. "Okay we got this." 

I smiled. "Now get your butt home." She laughed and ended the call. Aidon was waiting for me. "I gotta get home." 

"Got that far, everything okay?" Aidon asked. 

"It will be," I breathed. Aidon took that as his hint and took my hand gently. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When the wind stopped I took a step back looking around the apartment. It was a total disaster in here, bottles everywhere, zip ties still on the couch, blood on the sheets. 

"Can I help at all?" Aidon asked. 

"Yeah," I breathed, "I need to get this place spot less."
