After about two drinks my hands finally stopped shaking and I felt mostly competent in my abilities. I shrugged off my jacket and pulled on the oldest shirt I could find which was my dye shirt that was covered in purple hair die. I tied my hair back in a messy bun and grabbed a sewing kit and the first aid kit. I picked up the bottle of vodka off the counter and moved back to the couch.

He was still out, breathing steadily at least but out cold none the less. I removed the rest of his armor leaving him shirtless. I removed the makeshift bandage that was my shirt. The blood had dried around the wound but it was still oozing a bit.

I took another swig of the vodka and poured some of it onto his shoulder. He winced through his teeth but didn't wake up. I cleaned one of the needles in the vodka and burned the edges just to be safe. I'd done this before, to myself and to my brother a few times but it didn't mean things couldn't go wrong.

I used the thinnest thread we had and stitched up the wound front and back. I pressed gauze over the stitches and tapped them in place. I cleaned him up as best as I could but there wasn't much else I could do.

I cleaned up the kitchen and my mess and scrubbed the hell out of my hands to get the blood off. I couldn't sleep, not after that. My head was going a mile a minute about what could go wrong, who this guy was, what was going to happen next.

I took another sip of my drink staring at him. He was asleep not moving but breathing. His shoulder wrapped in bloody gauze. He seemed peaceful but how the hell does a peaceful guy end up looking like that on the side of the road in the middle of the night?

I nearly screamed when my phone went off. I picked it up and saw it was Alyx. "Hey," i said my eyes never leaving him.

"Hey girl what's up?" Alyx asked on the other side. I could hear the cars roaring in the background.

"Nothing too crazy."

She fell silent and I could practically see the wheels turning in her brain. "What did you do?" I laughed at her and sipped my drink again. I probably shouldn't be drinking, probably should not be getting drunk with a random guy in my house but all logic had gone out the window at this point.

"I have a random guy knocked out on our couch," I said. "He uh got in a bad fight and refused to go the hospital so now he's on our couch." I finished off my drink and set it back on the counter with a loud clink.

"What?!"

"Yup."

"Are you fucking crazy?!"

"Yup."

"Are you drunk?"

"Probably."

"Lenna!" She sighed in annoyance. "I leave you alone for a day! A day!" I hopped off the stool and into the kitchen pouring myself another drink. "At least tell me you've got the doors locked between you and him."

"Front door is locked, your room is locked and I'm standing in the kitchen." I took another sip. "We need more vodka by the way."

"Oh my god Lenna!" I put the bottle in the trash and sat on the stool again. "Tie him to the couch or something! You don't know this guy! And get some sleep."

"Yes cause that is so easy to do."

"Lenna, do it or I swear." I put my drink down and went to my room. I grabbed a set of zip ties and came back. I attached one around his wrist and then looped another through that and around the bottom of the chair.

"There, zip tied to the couch." I sat back down and sipped my drink again.

"Now go to your room and sleep, you have work tomorrow."

"Yes mother," i said sarcastically.

"Lenna." I groaned but didn't as she asked. I finished off my drink and went into my room, shutting and locking the door behind me.

"He has stitches, I have to check on them occasionally," i mumbled into the phone as I fell into my bed. I should probably shower but I was too drunk to give a shit.

"I'll call you in two hours." I mumbled something like goodnight as the phone slipped from my hand.

As promised Alyx called back two hours later at seven am. I answered it with a groan and she just chuckled at me.

"How you feeling over there?" she asked, her voice way to chipper for this early.

"Like shit," I groaned standing up. I stood up slowly and went into the bathroom. "Im getting in the shower, speakers on." I turned the water on and climbed in scrubbing myself up.

"Tell me exactly what the fuck happened?"

"I honestly can't tell you," I called back. There was still blood under my nails reminding me that this was real. "I heard him calling for help and I went and I helped. You know how I am."

"You let him in our house! When you are alone!"

"I'm fine Alyx." I cut the water and got out wrapping up in a towel. "I need to figure out what the hell happened to him though."

"Yes that would be helpful."

"I'll call you back when I know." She agreed and ended the call. I got dressed in a pair of my spandex and a big t shirt. I dried my hair quickly and left my room.

The guy was still asleep on the couch looking even worse in the morning light. There were new bruises forming and cuts scabbing over. He was still attractive though, even looking like he went ten rounds with Rocky.

I went to the kitchen and started making breakfast. Coffee for me and ice water and Advil for Mr. Blue eyes over there. I made us French Toast and bacon as well for actual food. I was just putting the bacon on the plates when he woke up.

"What the hell?" he groaned. His voice was rough and broken and he groaned in pain as he sat up slowly. I moved around the counter and set the plate and the drink down on the table before him.

"Morning Sunshine," i said, "we've got some talking to do."
