Legolas P.O.V
After dinner Rayne and Arwen had left to have some sister bonding time. This then left me to spend some 'brother bonding time' with Elladan and Elronhir. I didn't have a problem with Elladan, but I had to admit, Elronhir did scare me a bit. Both of them looked so alike but personality wise were so different.

In the end we ended up lounging in one of the many studies in the palace. This one in particular was where Rayne got most of the books she read.

Elronhir was laying down on one of the sofas. "So tell me princeling, do you love our sister?"

"I would die for her," I reply without hesitation.

"Good response, but not good enough. Anyone can dye for someone else, are you willing to live for her? No matter how painful it may be?"

"If it makes her happy I would travel to the ends of the earth."

"Elronhir, give the poor guy a rest. You don't want to scare him off before the wedding day," Elladan tell him.

Elladan had this soft tone and in his overall personality. Elronhir had more of a serious tone and his personality was arrogant, the exact opposite of Elladan.

"If only I could," I heard Elronhir mutter.

"So we heard about the battle of the five armies," Elladan continued. "Our father was furious when he found out that Rayne was in the middle of all the battle."

"Because you failed at keeping her safe," Elronhir retorted.

"Be nice," Elladan tells his twin.

"No, it's alright, it is my fault. Rayne shouldn't have been at that battle, I had sent her back to Mirkwood but she later showed up at the battle with my father," I explained. "She's stubborn and fights for what she wants."

"Well that still doesn't justify why she was there in the first place." I could tell Elronhir was trying to look for reasons to hate me, he was running out. "So what do you do for fun?"

"Well Rayne and I usually go out for walks or she just sits and reads."

"That does sound like Rayne," Elladan pointed out.

Elronhir sighed. "Well I can't really stay mad at you forever. Rayne seems happy and to be honest my worst fear was that the two of you would have a child out of wedlock."

"Elronhir! Our sister wouldn't do such a thing," Elladan scolded him.

"I trusted her, it was him I was worried about. Now that all that is put aside, where can a guy get a decent drink around here?"

I chuckled. "Well you are in the King's castle and we have a few caskets of wine left from the last festival."

"Why didn't you mention that sooner?"

If there was one thing that Elronhir loved was to drink. Elves don't get drunk, at least not on the alcohol of man, but the wine that we make here in Mirkwood is a special brew that is capable of making an elf drunk. Elronhir was feeling its effects as we speak.

I laughed as I watched as Elronhir fell asleep on the couch. "He doesn't seem as scary when he's drunk. He's a happy drunk," I told Elladan.

He laughed. "Yup, that's my twin. He's all bark but no bite. Well most of the time.

"Wow, so you're telling me I've been scared for no reason?" I joked.

"Basically, I know he can come off as aggressive but that's where I come in. We balance each other like twins are supposed to do. We've always been together, we know each other better than our own parents do."
