Rayne P.O.V
I woke up the following morning and saw Legolas putting on his regular clothes and armor.

"What did we agree on my prince?" I say.

"That I would wear the stupid diadem and dress nice? My love, I'm just going out to do my morning training. Would you like to join me? I plan on taking a ride in the forest this morning," he replied.

I rolled out of bed and walked over to our closet. "Wait for me, I'm going to get dressed."

The closet was pretty spacious so I just closed the door and grabbed a pair of pants and one of Legolas's shirts. After I laced up my boots I walked out of the closet and did my daily morning hygiene routine before grabbing my weapons and armor.

I looked over at Legolas who was in the middle of rebraiding his hair. "Allow me my prince."

He chuckled as I began braiding his hair. "Rayne, are you wearing one of my shirts?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."

"You are, and it looks good on you. I wonder what our fathers will say about your choice in attire." He chuckled.

"We're going out to train, not to go frolicking in the forest. It's easier to move than in a dress."

"Fair point my love."

I looked out the window and saw it was barely the crack of dawn. We had plenty of time before the others woke up.

We walked to the stables and then saddled up the horses. It was a quiet morning as the city began to wake up once again. Elronhir would be recovering from the wind and Elladan would watch over him. Arwen had been planning on going down to the village for the day. Thranduil and Ada had decided to busy themselves with wedding planning. That left Legolas and I free for the morning.

"I feel so free," I spoke as we road at high speed.

Legolas guided us down a path that had not been gone down for what appeared a long time. We traveled for a good amount of time until we reached a waterfall that flowed into a river. It looked untouched by the world.

"What is it with you and nature," i questioned.

"I used to wander off a lot when I was younger. I discovered many hidden wonders on our land. Unlike the garden, no one but we know about it." We dismounted and he grinned. "Well there is only one thing left to do then."

Without warning Legolas took off his shoes and stripped down to his pants before jumping in. "Come on Rayne, I'll hold on to you. Just jump in. I'll teach you to swim today."

I couldn't help but think how much he resembled a child. So full of energy and curiosity. I shed my armor and took off my shoes before following. The water was cool against my skin. Legolas held me close to him as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Why is it that we always end up in a lake or a river?" I question.

"Always so curious."

I pressed my lips against his as I wrapped my legs around his waist. He kissed me back as he pulled us even closer together if that was even possible. When we finally pulled away I found myself admiring him. Last time we had gone swimming I was too scared to notice but he had a nicely built chest from all those years of training.

"Like what you see," he said playfully as he kissed me on the cheek.

I blushed. "Well I'm marrying you aren't I? Can we start with the swimming lessons now?"

"We can, but I think I prefer being how we are right now," he said with a smirk.

"Oh just stop the teasing Legolas, you promised."
