Cloe's POV
I do not regret what I told Matthew yesterday. At least I didn't at the time. I thought he knew what would happen if he did. He didn't, and knowing that, I had no idea what the consequence would be. Nor did I think it would be bad or hurtful.
Little did I know that it could ruin me, more then I already have. It will ruin me if it spreads. I know it will, and he does too. Chase seems clueless but I know he isn't. He is Matthew's sidekick, of course he knows.
I return to school, trying to cover up the fact that it effected me so much. I can't show him how much it affected me, I will not grant him that satisfaction, it will ruin me even more.
Yesterday he made his "revenge", a pretty good one. I applaud him. I was right, he doesn't care about anyone or anything, except football and Chase. I may be able to use that against him, but for the oddest reason, I don't want to stoop to his level.
Smirks and remarks surround me.
"Hey lil' mama, I heard you charge $.50, wanna come over sometime?" Max Haler asks and I begin gagging.
"I wouldn't do it with you even if I got payed a million dollars, Haler. Get lost!" I retort, again, no emotion, no pain.
"Your loss." He scoffs and I shake my head. I'm not losing anything. I think to myself.
"Oh my gosh, I heard Matty say that she practically begged to give him a **! What a ****!" I hear somebody exclaim. Mumbles and stares surround me as I keep my head held high. I know that what he said isn't true. That's all that matters.
He is such a child. His poor little feelings get hurt so easily, and when he doesn't get what he wants he throws a tantrum and turns on people. Idiot, just take the hit to the ego and move on with it!
I spot Macy smirking at me and I smile widely at her, sarcastically of course, and wave my fingers at her. I keep walking until I am suddenly shoved to the ground. My books and papers fly everywhere and my head begins to spin. My back aches in pain as I attempt to look up. I see Matthew with a smirk on his face.
"That's why you shouldn't mess with me, loner." He says and I can't stare at him my sight drops and I stare at the floor.
"Why is the floor spinning?" I whisper to myself.
"Ahh!" I hiss as my back burns in pain and it feels like swords are being stuck into my back.
I try to get up, I tried. Once I was on my knees I feel forward and screamed out in pain. The world is spinning. I'm getting really dizzy and my back hurts really bad.
I look up a bit and see a concerned look on Matthew's face.
"Why is the world still spinning? Make it stop! Ahh! My back!" I start at a whisper then it turns to a cry. And Matthew just stands there, doing nothing.
De ja vu hits me, I've been through this before. Memories rush to my mind.
"Just make sure they are ok." I whisper to whoever is listening. I then fall and drown in the darkness as it begins to consume me. Make sure they are ok.
Matthew's POV
She got me so angry two days ago! How dare she even say that or assume that! Does she know who she was messing with? Well today she'll learn. I know she heard what I did and the rumor I spread. She is going to regret messing with me.
I see her walk in, to be honest I thought she was going to coward around and avoid everyone, but she didn't. She walked in with her head held high.
I saw Max talk to her and I saw the disgusted look on her face as she told him off. People talk and mumble at her but she looks like she doesn't care. Dang it! This was supposed to effect her! Not make it seem like it was nothing.
Chase comes up to me. "I can't believe you actually spread that rumor, Matt." He says. He is getting to be way more serious then before.
"And I can't believe you pulled that prank on Mr. Gustavo!" I reply and he smirks a bit.
"What can I say, I'm the king of pranks. Now stop trying to avoid the subject." He says and I sigh.
"You heard what she said to me, I couldn't give her that satisfaction." I whine and he gives me a look.
"You had to choose that rumor though. Do you know how dangerous that could be for her?" He questions and I stop to think about it.
"She doesn't seem effected by it and it's angering me!" I spill and he looks at me.
"Why, isn't it good she isn't letting you get to her?" He asks and I shake my head.
"She needs to know not to mess with me!" I complain.
"Oh, quit trying to feed your ego. I need to go, see ya later!" He says and I nod my head at him.
I spot her running and decide to recreate a moment. I ram into her side, not too hard, and make her fall to the ground. She starts hissing in pain, like the first time.
"That's why you don't mess with me, loner." I tell her and she looks at the floor and whispers something to herself.
She hisses again and tries to get up, she makes it up to her knees but she falls forward. That is when I began to stand frozen. Is she ok? I've never dealt with this before.
"Why is the world spinning? Make it stop! Ahh! My back!" She cries out and I want to help her, but my body stays frozen in place. I couldn't move a muscle.
"Just make sure they're ok." She whispers and then faints onto the floor. My muscles finally begin to move and I catch her before her head hits the ground.
Who are they? Why do I have to make sure that they are ok? Is she ok? I can't answer any of these, I need to find help. I pick her up, she is really light, and start running to the nurses, making sure that she isn't getting hurt even more.
I burst through the door and all eyes end up on me and Cloe.
"Please help her!" I shout and they rush towards me.
