Cloe's POV
I am finally done with testings. The doctors checked up on my head and my back, since they were the most effected parts of my body. Nobody knows why my head started bleeding, hopefully the doctors can find out.
I look at the door and see Matthew standing there. I give him a meek smile and he returns it.
"How are you feeling?" He asked and I smiled.
"Like I just got hit in the back by a bus and the doctors decided to keep putting pressure on it. I'm amazing!" I inform and he rolls his eyes.
"You and your sarcasm, what am I going to do with you?" He asks and I pretend to contemplate.
"Not tackling me could be a start." I reply and he drops his head. I shake mine at him and raise his chin up, forcing him to look at me. "I was joking, Bad Boy, we got past that. I don't want you feeling guilty because I am fine."
He just stares into my eyes, his eyes are so gorgeous! They have this mysteries, yet captivating, gray to them. They shine so bright. It's a good change from his I don't care look.
I haven't even noticed that he has gotten closer, nor do I really care. Which is a bad thing. I can't be comfortable with him, he hates me and I hated him, no no no I still hate him. Right? Ugh, I sound pathetic.
Somebody clears their throat and both of us pull away, I let out a sigh of relief. I couldn't have that happen, not yet. No! Cloe! Not ever! I try to convince myself, I do hope it works.
"Cloe, your test results are in, your head started bleeding because there were stitches placed there but when you fell they must have opened, releasing blood. Your back, well it's already been through a lot of trauma and I am guessing that you have too. I recommend that you wear a brace for your back before you sleep so we can at least try and repair it a bit." He informs me quickly, I had to take a moment to grasp it.
I know what he meant by, I'm guessing you have too. My brain clicks, it's the same Doctor that helped me through that time. Of course he knows what happened. We grew close but then we separated in our different ways. He was like a big brother I didn't have.
"Kev?" I question and he smiles at me.
"I was hoping you remembered me. How has it been, Clo? Well other then right now?" I sigh and he immediately knows what I mean.
"Still having trouble forgetting them?" He asks and I shoot him a look.
"Even if I forgot them what you just said made me remember you jerk." I retort. Matthew just sits there in confusion.
"Matthew this is Dr. Fares but he was my doctor when I went through something and we grew close so I call him Kev. Kev this is my friend? Matthew."
"Hey! Why did you hesitate on friend?" Matthew questions and I give him a do you really want me to say look. He finally shuts up and Kev looks back and forth between Matthew and I, smirking.
"I do recommend the back brace, Clo. I really do not want to see you here again." He says and I gasp.
"You hate me that much? Wow, fine, I guess you won't see me." I try to push myself up and stand up but that didn't go as planned. As I stood up I was wobbling and I lost balance and fell, luckily Matthew was there to catch me. That could have made the situation worse.
"I also think that Matthew should stay with you for a while, just because I know how clumsy you are." Kev suggests and I stare at him wide eyed. Then I stared at Matthew who just stood there calmly, with me in his arms.
Before I can say anything, Matthew speaks up. "I'm fine with that." Well of course you are you dimwit! What about me? That's going to be way to freaking awkward and he is just going to keep annoying me. Plus did he forget that we HATE each other?
I sigh, seeing that I have no say in this decision. Kev walks out and Matthew picks me up and places me on the bed.
"How did you do that?" I ask in amazement. I'm not the lightest person on Earth. I do love to eat.
"Well you aren't any feather but you are no where near a boulder and have you seen these muscles?" He says while flexing.
I just roll my eyes. "You sure do know how to make a girl feel good about herself you butt."
"But I don't insult you!" He exclaims.
"You really are an idiot, aren't you?" I ask him.
"If there was a class called Idiocity, I would get top of the class." He retorts smiling his cute, cheeky little smile. Not cute, I repeat not cute!
"Cloe, I'm about to ask a personal question, you don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable." I already know what he's going to ask.
"Who are they?" He seems a bit uncomfortable as well. "Again, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. It was selfish of me to even bring it up. I'm sorry, just forget I even asked that question. I-" I cut him off.
"Calm down, Matthew." Should I tell him, he would be the first person I ever told willingly. Do I trust him enough to keep this secret? He's going to find out sooner or later since he has to stay with me. He's going to question where my parents are.
"Not a word leaves this room, understood? You are the first person I am telling willingly, if you use it as blackmail I will chop off your privates. Do you understand?" I say strictly and he nods his head.
"It's a long story."
"I have all the time in the world." He replies and so I begin.
