*Boom*
"There, read these books and you should be on the high rise soon enough." Said Gottfried,
"But there are so much books. There's no way I can read all of these!" Exclaimed Marcus,
"Sure you can, what do you need to do anyway? Run a kingdom!! HA!!" Bellowed Gottfried, as his burly beard bounces around his chest as he laughs
"Well.... Ya, your right. But I got to take back the kingdom, and get revenge!" Stated Marcus
"How long do you think that is going to take? Its going to be quite a while. Probably even after you finish with all of these books!" Replied Gottfried
"That's true."
Marcus went down and grabbed the first book of the 20 to 40 book stack. He read the title of the first book,
The Basics of Magic
"Oh, i'm just going to be doing magic. Huh." Said Marcus
"No, you just need to know some magic so the history books don't completely confuse you." Replied Gottfried as he began to sit down and read some books of his own.
He read for quite a while, and found out some interesting stuff.
Affirmation is the magic to move and manipulate objects with just a move of the hand, or mind if you are wise enough to do so. Red color
Conjuration is to summon or create anything that you can with just a flick of the wrist. The more wise you are, the more complicated the things can get. Purple color
Dilapidation, surprisingly enough, not a destructed building, but is a magic to control or sway ones emotions, thoughts, morals, or abilities. You could even do it on yourself. This magics color is green
Fire magic is just what you think, magic that controls or makes fire.
Water magic is just like fire magic but with water.
There is any type of magic for any type of element, like earth, lava, sand, and on and on. these colors sway for whatever element you haveMalestation is a magic of reviving the dead, black color
Collestation is the magic to control time. Probably the hardest to even learn. Yellow color
And, last but not least. Restoration, the magic to heal.
But you can't just use as much magic as you want, there is a certain limit. This limit is capped by how much energy or dedication or even practice you have had. If you do too much it wont even work, and you will start to slowly die... Yes this is true young apprentices.
"Ok, I get the basic idea of magic now." Said Marcus
"Well then continue to another book, don't let me stop you." Stated Gottfried, as he was making little water wisps appear in air.
He continued off to another book, which was about basic city and kingdom management.
After several hours of silence and headaches he finally got done with that book and a basic fighting book. The next book to continue was the
History of the Elves. He got quite bored fast, took the books and raised out of his chair.
"Alright, i'm done with reading for now. Lets do something else or maybe practice on some magic." Said Marcus
"Ok, go do it. I'm not gonna stop you." Responded Gottfried,
"You're not going to come? But how will I learn to do spells?" Questioned Marcus,
"You don't need me, you got a book to teach you everything in your stack of books right there!! Ha!!" Boomed Gottfried,
"Oh, alright then, and shouldn't you be a little quiet in a place like this?"
" I don't need to, this is my library after all. I make the rules!!" Bellowed Gottfried once again, his voice echoing around the tall, finely cut, wooden walls.
Marcus continued out of the building, went back to Gottfried's home and set the books back, only leaving around 10 books with him. He went out to Gottfried's yard behind his house, and saw a nice area to try his magic outdoors. He set the books down and grabbed the first one on the stack,
The Conjuration Book
He opened the book up and read how he was supposed to do the spell.
After a couple of minutes looking it up, he found out that Gottfried wasn't lying about how to Conjure, even though he had a strong feeling he was. But he disregarded that and decided to work on the sword once again to see if he can conjure a better sword. He though about the same sword as the night before, really trying to think of the details. The sword came in a large purple mist again, but came out as the same stick trash as before, he tried again, worthless. He tried again, pitiful. He gave it his all, weak. He thought of the strength of the sword, soft. He tried thinking of the looks of the sword, worthless.
He tried thinking of making the sword, unbelievably awful.
He tried everything he thought together and really put in the details.....
Beauty, well not really that good, but after all the failures from before. Not that bad. The sword was a plain, brown leather, stoned sword. Not really sharpened since its stone, but it will do for now. He goes down and gets another book to work on.
