"Can you still do magic?" Asked Marcus as he walked along the quite snug tent that he and his army made to camp in the night just a mile outside the treacherous forest.
"I think.... Here let me try friend." Guessed Gottfried as he stood up to do his conjuring again.
The smoke appeared from the clear air as Gottfried looked like he knew what he was doing.... Looked like.. After the purple mist faded away and escaped out of the confined tent, they saw absolutely nothing in his stubby hands.
"What!?" Yelled Gottfried, "How is that possible.... It has to summon something at least!"
"Yea... We'll need to find some type of healer or medical inspector." Winced Marcus as all of his go to problems were easily erased by this assault of nature.
He headed out of the tent as Gottfried stayed in the space to rest, he walked towards the rather large tent across the camp, he was to see how anyone else was doing from their injuries. He walked in to see Thylrrim and two other elves with four more dwarves. Several men took on as part-time doctors since they didn't think of any medics to recruit. Such a foolish move. Marcus walked over to the two elves with Thylrrim, all of which were laying down with bandages wrapped around anywhere.
"Hello Marcus. got any exciting news for that Gottfried man?" Asked an elf to the right of Thylrrim with a light accent that was an odd mixture of other accents put together. The strongest part that Marcus could spot out was a British like accent.
"Yes I do in fact. Not really why I came here but sure," Replied Marcus nonchalantly, "So... He completely forgot how to do magic. Well he knows how, but it seemed like his wisdom has completely gone away, nothing won't even appear when he tried conjuring."
"Wow... How are we going to supply all of this men now? People that can do magic is extraordinarily rare and even when they are they usually are completely awful." Said Thylrrim, completely shocked from the news.
"I don't know... I guess we'll just have to work for it. It won't be that hard if we keep on traveling and finding villages. Speaking of that, I was going to find a doctor at the next village we find." Considered Marcus
Marcus talked to the rest of the injured people and went out of the roomy tent, lined white and red. He saw the bright sun rise above the distant jungle, the ground still muddy from here. He walked down to Dalina and Alrim with one other soldier that Marcus trusted a lot. He believed his name was....Ah. The man was Irvin, a tall man, fresh cut beard and hair.
"Sir." Said Alrim,
"nice day isn't it?" Asked Marcus as he looked up towards the sky.
"Yes, the sun is quite amazing early in the morning." Replied Dalina also gazing towards the clouds in the sky. Birds tweeting, sun beaming down on their faces.
"Now, when are we starting to continue on?" Asked the man, Irvin.
"What!? We can't go just yet! Not even one person has recovered from their injuries!" Retorted Dalina
"Now, now." Replied Irvin, calmly. Eyes seeming to sink even more than before the retort. "let's not jump to conclusions. It's Marcus's choice anyway."
The both of them turned towards Marcus for a response.
"I was also thinking of continuing the march. We have to get to a city to get some real physical aids. Maybe even recruit one." Stated Marcus, luckily Gottfried played it safe and made a nice, comfortable amount of gold. But that doesn't mean Marcus should use it whenever. Hes got to be smart.
Dalina seemed to calm a little now remembering that we didn't even have any aids in the team.
"You tall people are weird I tell ye." Said Alrim smiling, shaking his head, "why don't you all just get together. No wonder there are so many wars that included humans. Hah!"
