Alcred, Marcus, and Gottfried woke up to a fresh morning day. They went down stairs to sit.
"Gottfried, I can learn history and magic later, maybe during a war, could you please let us summon an army and make our way up to revenge?!" Questioned Marcus in an anxious tone.
"hmphf... I guess. Only if you vow to work on your magic. It is a very valuable thing to use, not much people have the patience to use it." Replied Gottfried a little annoyed as he scratched his beard.
Marcus rocketed off of his seat and zoomed out of the house, slamming the door with Alcred coming to follow him. Alcred didn't know why Marcus had to get his permission but whatever works...
Marcus and Alcred go walking down the streets firstly to look for an inn.
"You brought coins yes?" ,Asked Marcus.
Alcred replied, " Of course." as he pulled out a still stretched out, full pouch. Surprisingly.
"How did you get so much?! Didn't you get abandoned?!" Yelled Marcus.
"Yes I did, but I found a very nice Valraadian that gave me a large stash of money to survive in the Lava Barrens."
"Oh, I have some gold... But not that much."
They continued on the street to find a fine made Jade building with a stone sign reading out Tavern with a tavern symbol in black. They entered in to find a bustling place full of Elves drinking something, and playing games. Some already giving them stern stares.
They walked to the counter and ordered a "Jade Special"While they were drinking they turned to a couple of Elven men and women sitting in their stools quiet.
"Hello fine gentlemen. We have a very important question to ask." Said Alcred.
The Elves looked up sternly at the two men, and stayed quiet.
"Look. I am raising an army to get revenge on these evil humans that you would really hate. Good pay. No racist rules or people, and a fun time killing unforgivable savages." Stated Marcus, a lot more strong and well said than Alcred.
The Elves looked up, one Elven woman on the middle left of the group of 11 responded, "How do we know your not the savages. Get out."
"Now, now. I have no querrels with Elves. I only have a grudge for the evil men that deserved to go into the furnace." Responded Marcus.
"Pft.. That's what all lying humans say." Said the red haired, short elf in the middle. Probably the best built of the 11.
"Don't accuse humans of generality and racism when you do the same to us. How do you know if i'm speaking of the truth or lying if you don't try." Exclaimed Marcus, getting a little stern in the come backs.
"I'll join if you promise great pay and actual war. Smalley." Said a tall, blonde elf on the far left staring down Marcus and Alcred.
"Yes of course, but the war might not come immediately because i'm just starting. but we will build up to fighting a whole nation, and that can only happen if you guys take up the opportunity and raise your weapons for this fair company of revenge." Responded Marcus.
The Elves looked at each other blandly, and shook their heads and shoulders in a 'why not' way. They raised up their stools and said "We'll sign we guess."
Marcus smiled as they walked out of the tavern to buy some good armor and weapons for these men.
Afterwards they went to Gottfried's backyard and did some battle training with dummies and tactics."Swipe left, right, upwards, downwards." Commanded Marcus as he stood on a stool watching all of the Elves work to the sweat slashing at the dummies, including Alcred.
While Gottfried was also walking around the backyard, oddly the Elves admire and are friends Gottfried, even though it seems like they don't know who he is. What did Gottfried do to make all these Elves he has seen respect Gottfried, but not him. Whatever, he couldn't let that consume him just yet.
"Stab, block, right, downwards left." Commanded Marcus again.
He kept on training the men as Alcred went down to find a job to get some more coins to buy and retain the Elves and Men.
