Chapter: 10 (I Need her)
Nandini:
I opened my eyes with irritation, seeing a white view in front of me. Then slowly I realized I am laying on hospital bed.
Feeling like it's become my second home in Delhi. Where is Mukti and Aliya? Are they okay? Oh god what if those murderer kill them?
Oh no.
Tried to sit up but I couldn't. Feeling too weak to move; and that time Mukti and Aliya entered the room with a victory smile.
"Oh Mukti! You two are okay, tight? I thought they might to do something to you." I cried out in panic.
"Nandini, don't take stress. It's not good for your health." Aliya stood beside me.
"Yeah. There is nothing to worry now." Mukti said politely.
"Why? Did you forget that they are still waiting for us?"
"Well I don't know why but they left and obviously with a warning. Anyways who cares?"
"Warning? Why? Who are they?"
"Nandini, they rule this city more than those politician. And this area belongs to them. I told you about him in the club. He is the owner of the club where we are working," Aliya explained in one breathe.
My face turned horrified with the realization.
"Oh what I did?"
"What you did?" they asked in unison.
"Um... I threatened him."
"What???!!!"
"What you did Nandini?" Aliya was about faint. "Now we are gone. No... we are dead."
"Aliya stop. Don't panic. We handle them. But the question is how Mr. Malhotra Knew about Nandini?"
I looked at Mukti. Knew about me?
"What do you mean by 'he knew about me'? I only see him when we went out for dinner that night."
"I don't know Nandini. But he only told that he knew you and—"
"And?"
"And this time you can't run away like you ran away from your home. You really don't know him?"
My eyes widened, body started to shaking with fear.
"NO!" I shouted. "It can't be him."
"What are you talking about?"
"Mu-Mukti... I," I couldn't speak.
"Ssshh! It's okay? You don't have to tell. Just relax. We are going home now. Navya is worrying about you."
"Okay." I respond slowly, still can't believe that he let us go.
If Mukti's words are true then it's him and if it's him then why he let me go? Why he didn't ask me anything?
"Nandini let's go."
After 30 minutes, we reached home. I am so tired with tonight's drama. I can't believe he let me go.
"Oh Nandini!" Navya crushed me with a tight hug.
"Ah! Navya, can't breathe."
'Oh Sorry. I was just worried."
