Desi POV

I woke up, feeling a little off. Trying to figure out what was wrong, I rolled over, and instantly felt stickiness between my legs. I pulled off my blanket and looked down, shocked at the blood all over my thighs. Am I dying?

Or is this what a period is like? I know I'm late being 15, but...omg. I crawled out of bed, instantly regretted my decision as I nearly doubled over, feeling like my stomach was being stabbed. Aghhh. I waddled over to the door and ran down the hall to Kendall's room.

"Kendall! Wake up! What the frick do I do about this?!" I whisper shouted.

She rolled over, opened her eyes and said,"Do what about what?" Then saw my red stain and said,

"Oh crap. I'll help. You get in the shower and I'll get you tampons or pads, then we can change your bed." Still in a daze, I just said okay and went to my shower.

After I took my shower, Kendall handed me a pad and said,

"Use this for now and then you can move up to the complicated stuff aka tampons." She's a life saver.

I put it on and got dressed, still feeling weird about it. Kenny helped me take my bedding to the laundry room, and we took the elevator in an attempt to not let Dad see rather than the big stairs, but lo and behold.

When the elevator opened, Dad walked by and said, "Morning girls! I was just headed up to wake your guys." His perkiness annoyed me a lot for some reason. He then noticed the bedding we sheepishly held and frowned.

"Did you spill something? You know you're not supposed to drink around your bed."

"Yeah I accidentally spilled tea. Sorry." I lied. He bought it.

"I have laundry I'm taking out soon, do you want me to do it for you?" "No!" I snapped harshly, then instantly regretted it.

"Lose the attitude. I was trying to help." He said sternly. I started crying, feeling bad for snapping at him. Kendall took my stuff to the laundry, leaving me crying in front of Dad.

He looked slightly bewildered but wrapped me in a hug. "Hey, shh, it's okay. It's not that serious baby. You're fine, alright?"

I sniffed. "I didn't mean to snap at you Dad, I'm sorry."

He still looked a little confused at my behavior, but squeezed me again and said, "It's okay sweetie. I'll be down making breakfast, okay?"

I went back to my room, feeling like an idiot for having a  rollercoaster of mood swings. My insides still hurt and I had a headache and my body ached. Kendall came back into my room and asked if I was okay.

"Everything hurts and I hate life but yes. I'm fine. Thanks for helping me," I said, smiling weakly.

"Of course I got you girl. What else are sisters for?" She said  "Now we have to buy you period stuff. I could order it online but it would take days to ship- and I'm almost out." I sighed.

"I don't want Dad to know yet. I'll ask him to take us to the store and I can buy some lowkey." She agreed, and we went down to eat breakfast burritos.

"So I've got a busy day today. I need to get the oil changed on the car, I've got too drop a few things off at my office at school, and then I have to meet with the attorney to sign Kendall's custody transfers so the deal is sealed. You girls have to stay here, okay? I'll be gone for a while."

"But I want to go with and go to the store! We'll be bored staying here all day, can't we go? Please?" I asked, feeling kind of desperate.

"No, you both will be bored and I can't take you to the attorney's office." He said in a solid tone. I got mad.
