I walk into school looking like my normal self, a black skirt with a cute white blouse and a dark blue blazer. My knee high tan boots look killer as the little heel give me confidence when I take my strides, my hair falls straightly down my back to my hip. I walk in with Blair on my right and Alison on my left, with every step we take, more and more people look at us.
We reach my locker and I whisper, "Remember operation pink starts at 8:25 right after attendance, it will only take us five minutes, so if we go later our teachers will get suspicious. Since today is A day, Alison has Mr. Walker, Blair has Mrs. Repp, and I have Mrs. Rodriguez. We will meet right here right at 8:25, if you're late then you don't come, do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal, I like when you're bad, you're so serious and it suits you," Alison say and I flash her a big smile.
"Break on three." We all put our hand in. "One, two, three. Break!" They walk off in opposite directions and I smile at myself in the mirror. It's glad to be back to myself, the whole depressed girl wasn't fun. I apply a coat of dark red lipstick and mess with my hair until the bell rings.
"Alex Flores... Abril Martinez... Aspen Smith," Mrs. Rodriguez reads the attendance sheet. Each student mumbles a here. "Now class were learning about, yes Aspen?" This is it. No backing out.
"Mrs. Rodriguez. I'm having girl problems and I really need to go to the bathroom," I say and put emphasis on the words girl problems.
"Oh my. Of course. Hurry please!" Just like that I'm out. I give myself a mental pat on the back when I reach my locker, Blair is the only one there. I look at my watch, 8:24. Alison better not be late. I tap my foot on the floor impatiently while Blair pulls the cans of spray paint out of her oversized Michael Kors bag.
"I'm here I'm here. I had to tell Mr. Walker I was having womanly problems and he started giving me a lecture," Alison says as she runs over to us right when my watch hits 8:25.
"Let's go," I say and Blair tosses us the paint cans. We rush out of the school ninja style and run to Ryder's bike.
"Wait wait wait, it's hard to run in heels," Blair whisper yells at me and Alison.
"No turning back now," I say and take the cap off of the paint. I spray the seat, Alison sprays the right of his bike and Blair his left. Once we're done I check my watch, 8:29.
"We're done. We have to go now," I whisper yell and shove the can in Blair's purse. We run inside and go our separate directions.
After our first class of the day I meet up with Alison and Blair. "So how's Connor doing," Alison asks. I've been seeing Connor almost every day besides yesterday. "He's been doing better I guess," I say and shrug. I think Ryder has probably find the bike by now and is devastated.
"Is he gonna be back here for homecoming," Blair asks. Homecoming is in a week and we all planned on getting our dresses after school today.
"No. Oh well. Doesn't really bother me. He's boring at dances but we have to show up because nominees. Which we win every year since freshman year. But he's not on the ballad this year. I am, but not him since he's not gonna be here," I explain. Winning homecoming Queen has always been an honor, that's actually how me and Connor met in our freshman year.
"Yay! We all don't have dates, we should go together." Blair has always gone for older guys and now she only dates seniors, one of which just dumped her last week.
"Actually... I'm kinda single but boys ask me. But they aren't THE ONE. I can tell," Alison says, she's always been like this. Doesn't go out with boys unless their THE ONE. So Alison hasn't had a boyfriend, ever.
