You Stole My Heart

chapter 23

On my way to Jahyeondang after I returned the horse to the barn, the sound of swords clinging tuned on my way that made me alarmed. I run towards Jahyeondang, when I reached there, Jinhai was fighting some new recruits and probably Xihai's minions.

My heart sink down when I saw his arm wounded. I quickly remove my katana and run towards the fighting crowd.

I stabbed one man, the other one noticed me and tried to attacked me but before he could stab me I kicked his head while my hand was holding his hand to avoid his sword from touching me, his back slammed to the ground as I kicked his head again harder  making him sleep.

"Yhing get out of here! This is my fight!" Jinhai said while fighting 3 men.

"You should have told me that before I drew my sword!" I replied fighting some other guys who tried to hit him.

Xihai tried to stab Jinhai from the back but I blocked his sword. He was trying to attack me but he has no luck on defeating me.

I back kicked him that made him fell on the ground and he got separated from his sword. I draw my sword on his neck.

"Stop!" The crowned Prince's voice said. When I look at him, guards was with him. Xihai's minions backed off from us.

"What happened?" The crowned Prince asked Jinhai. "They tried to attacked us your highness,"Jinhai replied in emotionless tone.

"What is the meaning of this," the crowned Prince asked Xihai while I backed off.

"Yo-Your highness, i-i-its a big mi-m-misunderstanding," he nervously said. "I clearly understand this, Guards! Kick Xihia out of my sight and out of the palace! And clean this mess," the crowned Prince command, speaking of mess are the...

Dead bodies.

The guards obeyed what the crowned Prince said. Then I remembered Jinhai's wound. We went inside and I get the pail to get some water to clean Jinhai's wound.

After fetching some water, I picked up a clean cloth and let it absorb some water.
"Why were they attacking you?" The crowned Prince asked. "Xihai tried to do something to Yhing and I beated him up and he wanted revenge," Jinhai said looking at his bloody wound.

He took off his upper kimono revealing his hot body. His wound was pretty bloody. "I'm sorry I didn't help," Taian said at the corner. "It would be a big problem if you came out," I replied trying to cheer her up as she blamed herself.

When I wipe the blood out of the wound with a wet cloth Jinhai studied my face.
"Does it hurt?" I asked. He shook his head and continue to stare at my face which was making my heart skip a beat.

I continued to clean the blood and he was still staring at me. The crowned Prince and Taian both prepared tea at the kitchen.

"Are you alright?" He asked leaning forward making his face inches away from mine. I stopped what I'm doing as our eyes locked to each other. I felt my stomach grow weird like I swallowed a snake that its circuling around my stomach making me feel this unusual feeling. We froze and didn't move a single muscle until the crowned Prince came.

"Do you guys want some tea?" After what the crowned Prince said, it made us snapped back to reality.

"Ah, yes that would be nice," I said. Jinhai stood up and offer me a hand. Should I accept this or not. I froze on my position while thinking on my next move then I realized that I hung his hand waiting.

I accepted his hand and pulled myself up. We walk towards the kitchen to have tea with the crowned prince.

"So when are you and Taian gonna leave, Taian can't hide here forever," said the crowned Prince, he was right we need to leave.

I was thinking that maybe we can leave tonight during the changing of the guards.
"Later at dawn," I said. Thinking that we will Do the same on how we got out.

"To be easy, I'll distract the guards," the crowned Prince said. "No need your highness, we don't want to trouble you," I said. "It's fine I insist," he replied.

"Are you ready?" I asked Taian. "I guess I am," she replied. I picked up my katana and went out of the room, through the hall and outside. The night was dark as the night sky was full of stars. I took one glance at Jinhai. A smile formed on my face and he gave me a nod.

We sneak out as we stay in shadows, avoiding some guards as soon as possible. When we came at the back of the palace, nine Guards were guarding the wall.

"Guards! All of you follow me!" The crowned Prince voice tuned and it made me smile, how helpful he is to his lover.

"Whats wrong your highness?" One said. "I just saw a wild boar," the crowned Prince said leading the way while all the guards follow behind him. Seriously a boar in the palace?!

I grabbed Taian's hand and dragged her with me. I climbed up in the wall, when I reach the top I offer my hand to Taian. She pulled my hand while pulling herself up.

When she was on the top, I jumped down to the other side of the wall and outside the palace. Taian jumped after me as I cought her.

Few meter away, there were one horse tied on a tree that Jinhai prepared earlier. I helped Taian on climbing up the horse, I followed when she was done.

We ride the horse to my old house. I parked the horse on out little yard and went inside.

Zhang would be sooo broken hearted when he knows that Yhing have feelings to Jinhai.

That bastard Xihai learned his lesson already and for good. As long as Jinhai is alive no one will harm Yhing. But poor Zhang. I'll try to find some characters for them. And what about Pheng? Does Pheng like Yhing?
