chapter 24

Taian

It has been two days since we escaped from the palace and last night, I just heard that my mother, Eun was in the town which made me have difficulty on sleeping.

I have been trying to sleep for hours and I still can't. I look at Yhing beside me, she was fast asleep. I closed my eyes and trying to sleep.

After few minutes I still can't. "How am I supposed to sleep." I said to myself. I stood up and wear proper and casual clothes, taking off my sleeping robe. I pick up the comb on the table and started combing my hair.

I went outside and closed the door, then glanced at the sky. It was half morning half evening. The streets was clear so maybe it's face to walk without something covering on my face.

I marched my way to the river. I sit there at watched the hundreds of fireflies glowing sa the water reflection makes the light hundred times more.

Third Person View

Taian was enjoying the view of the fireflies glowing in the river.

After few hours, Taian sit there enjoying the silence without violence, she can finally have a place where to let go her thoughts.

It was already passed sunrise as Taian forgot about the time. Yhing, on the other hand noticed that she was gone.

"Taian?" She whisper loud enough to make her call audible into the whole house. There was no response as her heart began to sink down and worriedness flooded inside her.

She stood up quickly and roam around the house. Taian wasn't in the house so she went to the back yard but she wasn't there either. She went to the front yard but she wasn't there.

"Oh Taian where are you," she said under her worry. She roam the whole house countless times.

Taian finally decided to come back, she was nervous thinking that someone might see her. She searched her pockets for a handkerchief but there was nothing. The thought on how they got out of the palace without the guards seeing them gave her an idea. She planned to sneak in every corner in the village to avoid someone from seeing her.

She wasn't sure about her plan but she has no choice. As she walked, Yhing was already preparing herself to search the whole village for her.

After preparing, Yhing pick up her katana and started searching. She noticed that the royal searchers are many since the news last night that Eun was here in the village. Her anxiety grow even bigger knowing that Taian is out there and the royal guards are marching in every streets in the village.

After a few turns, here and there Yhing bumped into someone since she wasn't looking on her was cause her eyes were searching everywhere for Taian.

"I'm sorry it was my fault, Are you okay?" She apologized to the girl in front of her. As soon as the girl lifted her heard, it was Taian.

"Taian," Yhing gasped when she finally saw her. "Yhing, thank goodness you found me, guards are everywhere, " she said. "Once we get back you'll explain everything," Yhing said firmly. The voice of the feet stumping was close and revealing the red kimono robes that the royal guard's uniform.

It was already too late, the royal searchers already saw Taian's face. The searcher's eyes widen when they saw Taian and run towards her and aiming their spear on her neck.

Not long, they noticed that Yhing was with Taian. The thought came in their mind that Lady Yhing captured the rebel's daughter.

"Lady Yhing, we are so glad that you have captured the rebel's daughter, Taian," the he a searcher said. Yhing was holding a tight grip on her katana as she planned to attack all 15 searchers.
