You Stole My Heart

Chapter 3

After a 6 days, life in the grand house, it was pretty boring and lonely. I haven't seen Jinhai and Pheng these past days so it was pretty lonely for me.

So I came up with a plan. I plan to pretend as a new recruit of lady servants in the palace, that way I will get some informations, I knew Uncle will not let me to but I'll sneak out of the grand house tonight.

When midnight came I sneak out of the grand house and ride my horse to the palace. I left my horse at the tailoring shop.

As I marched my way to the palace gate a guard stop me from getting inside.

"May I see your gate pass, lady" one of the Guard said.

"Uhm I don't have a gate pass," I said and tried to enter the palace but the guard grabbed my shoulder.

I grabbed his hand and twist it making his bones break. Kicking the other guard on my side. More guards came and I got surrounded.  They were pointing katana to me, I don't have a weapon, and I don't have a choice.

"I need to get in," I said. They exchange glances.
"Oh you will lady, you will get in the palace dungeon. Move" the guard in the mindle said.

I have no choice but to follow their orders. They are far too many to  beat up.

As I entered the dungeon torches were the only source of light inside. They cage me inside were I was the only one in the room.

" the emperor will be the one to decide your punishment." The guard said. "I did not ask you that," I simply said.

Morning came and the guard's were taking me to the emperor. My heart was stumping so wild inside and my hands were getting cold. I was breathing fast and hard.

"Your majesty, cheif royal guard is here," the lady at the door said.

"Let him in," a deep and husky of the emperor said. The guard's dragged me inside and forced me to bow on my knees. Since I have no escape my life is officially over.

"What is this?" The emperor said. "We found her trying to enter the palace without a gate pass, and she's attacking us,  your majesty." The Cheif Royal Guard said.

"Yhing? I told you to wait until I gave you the permission and gate pass."  Uncle Cheng's voice said. Luckily I understand what he's  trying to do so I need to blend in.

"Forgive me General," I said. "You know her?" The emperor ask. "Yes, your majesty, she is one of my skillful men from Beng Gang Zhu, please spare her, she don't know any of our rules here at the palace, " Uncle said.

"Why is she trying to get in the palace?" The emperor ask. "I thought the princess needs a personal body guard since she got robbed at the market two days ago, if you like, your majesty, where will you assign her," Uncle said.

"My daughter's personal body guard." The emperor said. "You may leave her Cheif Gyong," the emperor added.

Where are my manners "thank you, your majesty," I said. He gave me a nod. I got out of the room and a lady approach me.

"Let me take you to your room," She said. My room? Wow I thought I'll be staying in a stock room.

I'm gonna take back what I just said. I am staying in a stock room. "Uhm I'm suppose to stay here during night time?" I asked the lady. I glance back at the room, barrels, brooms, mop, empty dusty container, old wardrobe and other stuff are inside. Under the Jahyeondang house contains two rooms, hallway, stock room and this big room that has the majority of this house.

"Yes, yes you will," she said giving me a key and walk away. I closed the door and taking a little tour in the hallway.

I met Uncle in the hallway.

"Yhing, you will do exactly what I said since your now involved,  I can't believe you sneaked  out and got in trouble." He said.  "I told you I want to work with you guys," I protest.

"This is far too dangerous for you Yhing," he said. I rolled my eyes "Ugh I can protect myself, now I can be the spy to the emperor's daughter."

"Thats at least you could do now," he said and walk passed me. I got out of the house and wander in the big palace, not knowing where the princess resides.

I lady servant was comming on my way.
"Excuse me can you take me to the princess, I'm her new body guard." I said. She smiled "I'll take you there."

After a few turns, we finally came to Janggyona where the princess resides.

"Princess, your personal body guard is here,"the girl by the door said.

"Let him in," the sweet voice of the princess said. When the doors open I quickly went inside and bow to her. When I look at her she seems startled, I think she's expecting a man body guard.

"A lady? hear me! Who send me a lady body guard?!" She screamed. "His majesty did, princess," the girl outside the door said.

"Kuna!" The princess said. And a girl quickly entered the room. "Tell my father that I don't want a lady body guard, I want a man who is strong enough to protect me." The princess said.

"Yes, princess," Kuna said and left the room. The princess looked at me and smiled "get out!"

I quickly walk out of the room. That stupid princess, she thinks she's pretty, I think I'm prettier that her.

I felt like I want to explode in my anger. Just because she's a princess doesn't mean she can treat people like animals.

I asked some of the servants on where is General Cheng. They lead me the way to him.

As soon as I met him I thanked the servants and asked them to leave us. "What is it that you come here," he asked. "The princess want a man to be her body guard and happen to reject me" I replied. He nodded " work with Jinhai you'll go on where he go, now I'll take you to him."

We came to a free plain field where new recruits of royal army were trained. I saw Jinhai at the front telling them about some techniques in using the sword. Even in his teachings, he didn't gave any facial expression, just blank and cold.
