Luigi woke up to what he thought was a bright and sunny day. "I'm so glad that spring is coming soon," he said to himself. Luigi was alone in his house because Mario was out all night, trying to impress girls. Luigi had no idea why, but Mario claimed that he wanted to be "datable". But, how would Peach feel about this?
Luigi got up from his bed and looked for Mario throughout the house. He couldn't find him anywhere. However, Luigi had 3 missed calls from Mario. Just a moment later, Luigi's phone started ringing. Luigi looked at the caller ID and saw that Mario was calling. "Hey," Luigi answered. "Why aren't you home yet?"
"I've been stuck out here for three hours, can you help me get in?" Mario asked.
"Why can't you get in?" Luigi questioned. "It's not like anything's blocking you."
"Look for yourself, bro." Luigi looked through a window in the living room and all he saw was snow.
"That's weird," he said to himself. "I thought the snow was already melting."
"Anyways, help me get in!" Mario said.
"What's the temperature?" Luigi asked.
"According to my phone, it's around negative twenty degrees Celsius," Mario informed. Suddenly, very strong winds came through. "But, now it's colder because of the wind," Mario added.
"Uh, I don't wanna go out if it's this cold, so no," Luigi said.
"Please, bro?" Mario asked.
"Eh, maybe if the temperature goes up to at least negative ten," Luigi replied. "For the meantime, entertain yourself in your car."
"Well, thanks!" Mario hung up. Luigi went to his kitchen and made himself some hot chocolate. It was while he was adding marshmallows to his drink when he realized something.
"It looks like my road trip with Yoshi has to be delayed," Luigi said to no one in particular. If I'm going to be kept in my house all day, what should I do to make time pass? he thought.
First, Luigi decided to make himself a pleasant breakfast because it had been quite a while since he last made one. His breakfast consisted of bacon, eggs, hot chocolate, a club sandwich, cheese, and a few small croissants. It was a big breakfast indeed. However, Luigi finished it all in less than half an hour. He wished he had taken a longer time eating because more time would pass that way.
After taking a nice, hot shower, Luigi played a few games on his Wii U. Every so often, he would check the temperature outside and it was always the same. Luigi got bored of playing on the Wii U after about two hours. He looked at the time and saw that it was 11 am.
Luigi switched the TV from Wii U mode to cable mode and watched whatever was on the Cooking Channel. Luckily, the theme of the day was Italian Food and Luigi was entertained for another hour. By noon, he was hungry and made himself some spaghetti. Luigi knew Mario would be jealous of him and that he was getting bored inside that car. But, the temperature had become negative fifteen degrees and Luigi was not willing to go out unless it was negative ten or higher. Besides, it was still super windy outside.
After lunch, Luigi went on his phone and chatted with Yoshi about various things, from food to traveling to weirdos. Another two hours went by. Luigi suddenly remembered about a book he bought recently that he had yet to read. He got his book and began to read. The book's title was "Do's And Don't's: How To Have A Good Relationship With Your Girlfriend". As you could probably tell, Luigi was desperate to impress his girlfriend, Daisy. Luigi was able to finish the book in three hours. It was impressive, considering the book was nearly 600 pages long. Luigi checked the temperature outside again and this time, it was negative eleven degrees. Poor Mario.
What happened next was completely unexpected. "Wake up!" Mario yelled, but his voice was slightly faint. That's weird, Luigi thought. Why can I hear him? And why is he telling me to wake up? "Luigi, wake up!" This time, Mario's voice was a bit louder.
"I'm already awake, what are you talking about?" Luigi called back.
"Luigi!" Mario's voice was even louder.
"Whaaat?!" Luigi replied, getting kind of annoyed.
"Luigi!!!" Why is Mario getting louder? Luigi thought.
"LUIGI!" Mario was even louder now.
"WAKE UP!"
"Ugh, what's up with you?" Luigi found himself back in his bed.
"Yoshi's already here and you have to get ready for your road trip," Mario explained. "I had to wake you up, obviously."
"Well, you didn't have to yell right into my ear," Luigi rubbed his right ear.
"Sorry, it was the first thing I thought of," Mario shrugged. "Well, I'm gonna go make breakfast. Yoshi's getting hungry, I bet." And with that, he left the room. Luigi looked out the window and saw that it was a bright and sunny day...
